I'm back again, to stay I hope. Good to see you're project kicking, keep it up. POST 700!! POST 700 IN THIS TOPIC!! Cheers, Mike
LEDs arrived some days ago the LEDs from frozen cpu arrived. i got about 28 i think. 13 dark green and 15 yellow-green... but since i now have enough dark green LEDs, I won't give them any more trouble. Totally, now i got 23 dark greens, and 34 yellow-green. (the bag to the left sais "gul" which means yeallow in norwegian) I have done some small stuff lately, like drilling a hole for the water pump cord. and painted the dragon door, drilled a hole for the cables for the leds in the front, and continued painting the front. i decided this would be the best place for the water pump cord to exit the case. some parts of the back will be repainted.
Something you might want to try for that large panel that you're going to use as backlight for the dragon... bond some aluminum foil to the edges of the plexi (the thin ones). It reflects the light back very well and will make the effective backlight show up much much better. I didn't see anybody else post that tip here and if you didn't know about it you'll see a huge difference. it helps a lot if the edges are sanded down first to be smooth. Very nice work on all your etchings/cuttings/paintings so far. Keep it up
hehe I am still amazed that anyone would spend over 5 minutes, reading my log thank you for reading it. I have pollished the aqua computer water tank bracket. it isn't chrome, but i dodn't want it to be either. 2 weeks ago i broke my water pump. i think i have stepped on it or something. the intake and the shaft (??) had snapped off so i had to order new parts for the pump from germany. they will hopefully arrive soon. I have also done some experimenting with the water dye. i have reason to believe it sucks. i have now left in in a bottle for 1 week and it has turned orange. it still lights up green under uv light, but it is more blurry than before. this pic is taken right after i mixed the dye with the water. I have also ordered a new psu from the US. it should be sendt with express, so i hope it will turn up soon.
Crazy bling psu! Hi all. this project has been taking waaaay to much time now, because i have lost the motivation to continue quite a few times. But I have now bought a new psu i think will fit the theme of the case. It's the Ultra Modular X-connect Uv Green psu. it is real pimperish and i think it will add a couple of points to the bling scale. I have to kill the rumor about the 20 pin atx cable to be very stiff, and little flexible. This is NOT true! it is very flexible! I thought it would be hard do bent the way i want it to be, but it isn't. it is 500w so it will easily supply the power needed for my system. If i don't get the ATi X800 Pro for christmas, I will buy it muself Ok too much talk, and too few pictures i'm still waiting for the shaft for the pump. so I won't be able to assemble the case before after christmas break. I'm getting there
That is a tasty psu! slightly TOO modded for my liking though. maybe you could De-Mod it, actually scratch that before I get ripped apart by any self respecting Bit-Tech-ers. I think the etchings you did are awesome, and I hope you are pleased with the final outcome. (like there's any reason for you not to be)
That's one sweet PSU, I love it. I think that It'll fit nicely into you're case, lot's of greeeeeeeeen Cheers, Mike
