I was going to post an update this evening.
but it's not soo big, because i've only got time to do bondo/sanding and some other small things.

WOO!

 

This is shaping to be one very good looking mod.

I like the simple design (well I think it is..).

I actually think it would look great completely white, with the white cathode.

 

I think that yellow with black stripes would be better than white, white mustang doesn't look fast enough. Actually i think that mustang should be blak or blue, but those colors are too basic for modding.

I used an old rpm meter for my project as a hdd-led, maybe that would in fit this mod too?

This looks so nice so far, i would be glad to have it. Nice to see that someone uses wooden materials to make something different than usual boxes.

UPDATE 15

I'm realy sorry for the quality of the photos, I don't know why but they turned out realy bad .

so, last saturday I bought a new tool and I recieved an aquaero and some fittings,



It's realy good and now it goes a lot faster to sand
The first thing I did was to glue the two parts together but I dont have a photo to show that.

then I drilled 2 holes for the cables:



after some cutting and sanding,



then I started to fix the front with some bondo but it's not finished yet:



then I cut an opening in the top piece and sanded it down to the size of the aquaero:



but it was a litle bit too wide so I'll have to fix that.
I put it in place to see how it looks



I still have a lot to do on that part.
then I put the fittings in place:





and I drilled a hole for one of the xlr to the two 80mm fans:

because i would like to use something like that in my case
and are they the same on the back?

 

they are the same on both side but I don't know what they are called in english.

update 16

HI update time !!!

first I had a litle side project:

I upgraded my current computer because it was realy slow(AMD athlon x2) , to a q6600. And now it's realy fast !
I changed the mobo from an asus crosshair to the evga 680i from the gtr but I'll put this hardware back to the gtr when I've painted it.
And I also put the aquaero in this one to test it, and I really like it.
anyway here's some pictures :

anyway, here's the update !

UPDATE 16

today I made the bottom side panel,
I used a 50x25 cm plexi sheet and cutted it to the right dimmention:



then I drilled some hole an cutted the 45° cut at the top and I placed it on the case to see how it looks.
but I didn't drill all the holes.





I also "test" painted the inside in white and I'm really happy with the result

The white with the shadow box lighting is very effective. I like it.

This kind of lighting would be perfect for a mod idea I have had for a while, thanx a bunch for showing me the light and giving me inspiration!!

 

Looks very clean and sturdy. I am totally infatuated with the compression fittings and the whole res chamber mounting wall thing. It truly is looking to be a top-notch mod!
