Yeah I thought I bought some auto primer at the store but I accidently grabbed rust preventative instead. So now I have to pick up some new stuff. My favorite brand is Duplicolor auto paint, and Rustoleum Primer. I usually get that at walmart but they didn't have the jet black spray paint.

instead of engraving something on the plexi i was thinking about printing an image on a transparent plastic paper.. and also maybe take some thin red plexi wich has the same shape as the image, and i was thinking about using this image: http://www.thaigaming.com/wallpaper/albums/userpics/aegis_3d.jpg

im still thinking alot about colors and exactly how to do it..
right now i have red spray paint but it looks like the color on firetrucks :sigh:...

ZeroX: Maybe.. still swec is alot more technical while there are more design here and full case modding :thumb:.

well you may have to do a little bit of shading etc with an air brush. Also for your paint you may need to take a swatch and go to a shop and have them mix you a small amount of paints. I think you can get stuff mixed at auto wreck repair shops. I know one guy who owns his own shop and he bought a computerized paint mixer (big bucks machine). He is a nice guy since one time he just gave me a car hood for a project I was doing for nothing. Might have to ask him to get me some paints once I get a better gun to accompany my air brush.

Baah.. Im working the next 3 weeks ahead. No modding until then..
Have to work so i can get money for modding and hardware :D..
Though working is not that fun... :sigh:
But i want a ati radeon x800 :grr:.. and hopefully i will afford that.. a new mobo, a keyboard and some modding stuff...

Though there is still hope.. I will modd my mobile this weekend!! Im also planing on modding my mouse, and keyboard(when i buy a new one)....
and also my car, my apartment my cat, dog and grandmother.. :) j/k

But still trying to figure out some new ideas about painting..
Too bad i bought 5 cans of paint that doesnt look good.. :wallbash:
The idea i have right now may look too clean..
Also i want something under the case.. Still figuring out if i should make some cool feet for it. And also what i should do on right side of the case.. Maybe glue a plexi 'ZAFT' logo wich i will paint red as the background.. or maybe it should be black with a red background.. :hip:

for the case feet why not make them look like the spikes the Aegis has on its feet and arms. With those feet it would look like it was in mobile armor mode. You can probably make them our of thick aluminum sheet. (plastic would be to flimsy to make them in proper proportion and make them stand on end like I had in mind).

This is awsome, as is Gundam Wing. Used to watch it on Cartoon Network until they stopped running it.

    PEACE

    yeah gundam wing is awesome..
but gundam seed is even more awesome :p
and gundam 8th ms team is really awsome too..
    though i like seed best..

you can always download gundam wing/seed from any anime dc hubb.. if you want.. :thumb: thats what i did...

also about the feet.. im thinking of having feets in some kind of "gundam" style.. :p a little discreet though (spelling? descreet????)

heeeeeeeey that paint scheme you have cooked up is REALLY cool! I love gundam wing, I love gundam wing modelling, I love computer modding, toss all 3 together and with me at least- you've got a winning competition.. and I liked the funky red glow pics :thumb:

can't be afraid to show your bad side! anyway.. for the window perhaps you might try something like this:http://www.metku.net/index.html?sect=view&n=1&path=mods/coloured_appliques/index_eng
    just a thought :)

looks like a great plan :) I wish you luck with the job and the mod!

Pretty cool mod. Never could get into the whole AC stuff though, I perfer the Universal Century stuff myself.

Thanks for the link Skaal-tel! I'm also doing an anime mod (with a Serial Experiments Lain theme :D ) and that link will out me further plan out my window stuff.

The Aegis image looks pretty good (coupled with what you learn from that link) I think it could come out looking pretty damn good. I've tried asking several mod shops if it would be possible to get a Lain image ingraved in plexi but theres issues about copyrights and such  so I decided to either "make" my own image or draw it and scan it in and fix it up.

You could always have the image printed on clear film paper and then attache it to the plexi. I have seen it done and it looks really cool in full color.

Well it looks great indeed, Antec trueblue 480w i mean...
    Though look at the price...
    160$...

Though i may find it cheaper somewhere else..
But if i buy it i have to change the fans to none-led fans.. Or maybe red led fans.. Im still not 100% sure if i should have lots of led fans or just red painted and silent fans.. But im kind of 70% into silent red fans for the moment..
