    Thanks, I appreciate the welcome. I started following Prometheus pretty late in the game over at [H], it'll be nice to follow this one from the start.

    Your concept thread also said you'd be doing one in aluminum in addition to the carbon composite. Will we see no metal versions? :(

    I love the design, whilst not to my usual tastes, there's something very pleasing about the void in the middle. This looks ambitious (and expensive :eeek: ) but from what we've seen with Prometheus i'm sure you'll carry it off with consumate ease and make one hell of a case.

    Sure you're not going to go for workstation GPU's? I here good things about ATI's latest FireGL, and the capabilities of Nvidia's Quadro series are already well documented.

    @Mork - Ambrosia, it's all I eat. ;) Thanks a lot mate.

    @Razer2007 - Thank you, I really hope so

    @miikrr - I likely will be making an 2x more in aluminum, but not right away. Thanks for posting.

    @Moriarty - Awwe geeze, lol. Thanks a lot man.

    @asura - Goodluck finding waterblocks for workstation cards. Also I have a box with 3x Tesla 2070 cards :p. Much of the work I do relies on CUDA technology for real-time processing of large scale spacial computing environments.

    I spend one weekend away, and you go and start this behind my back. I feel hurt Langer, hurt I tell you! The only way you can fix this is with an update!

    Don't buy them dude, make them! So much in your case is custom already, why not a few milled blocks?

    Or go for core only + passive. Whuzabi put a beautiful block made by Ybris onto his card, and it just looked slick. They don't make it any more, but the quality of your design is such you might be able to convince them to make a few on special order...

    I wouldn't even make them, just find the Geforce equivalent. For instance my Quadro 3450 is in truth a 6800GT PCB, hence why i have had both a aquagrafx and currently a danger den block fitted to it.

    All the quadro's have a linear link to bog standard Geforce cards, the FX 4600 and 5600 are the G80 based 8800GTS and 8800GTX respectively.

    So getting those tesla's under water wouldn't be that big of a deal, i've not heard much about the Tesla 2070, but i am thinking its GF100 based no matter how much spin nvidia marketing give it.

    I would look into waterblocks for the GTX465 or 475, it doesn't look 480 worthy nor is it 460.

    Thanks for the suggestions gentlemen but I'm not about to mess with $5000 cards. Nor do I want them in this machine, I'm looking for something more 'generic' here. CUDA cards are slightly more limited in their abilities.

    @Dark - Thanks man, much appreciated. Maybe I can get you to do some renders for me when I take hold of the model?

    @MrNitro - I've created an out-of-context Photobucket gallery HERE

    wait a minute! wait a minute! wait a minute! wait a minute!
    your calling Langer a chicken?
    are you running a feaver? or just crazy
    i mean he has the gusto to make a case out of insanely expensive and strong materials
    not to mention that you wont see any of the fasteners
    id like to see you destroy a $5000 card
    or at least have a good whack at it
    and one straight out of the box, no fleabay allowed :grr:

    The case looks sweet.

    Titanium makes sense, if you're going to put 1000's of dollars (euro's, pounds, whatever) you want a case that at least compares in price and quality, nothings better than titanium.

    Fantastic concept!!! Can't wait to see the build in progress!!!

    Have you ever thought about making the case 30cm wide and sticking the psu behind the mobo, mounted to the top? Maybe allowing the you to mount up to 4 rads. Side by side on each side?
