VIDEO I shot a short video clip of the illuminated switch in action. (250kB) VIDEO And here's a pic of the three way switch which lets me switch the rear exhaust fan off, 12V or 7V. I haven't mounted it yet, but it is to be mounted right next to the fan. \/ And I bought the plexi for the window today. It's going to be a bit smaller than anticipated. Wait and see...
-> nice work bard -> the switch looks excellent in action -> can't wait to see what else you have come up with.
I have jigsawed out the window. I went with a much smaller window than first planned, mainly because then I could buy the plexi at a local store who sells things like this cheap, but they didn't have any bigger plexi sheets than this. (30cm x 20cm) I made a nice curve by the door handle, and repeated the curve in the opposite corner. The window might look a bit small, but it's actually the case which is a bit big...
I sanded, brushed with steel wool and clear coated the sides today. I think I clear coated my eyes too. It sure feels like it.
Ok, must know how you did the HD/Power LED thing. I need that for a case mod!!!! MUST........HAVE.........PLEEZE!
CooLJoE: Just look at page 1 of this project log. The only thing you have to do, is put a diode between + on the power LED and - on the HDD LED. This only works on high voltage LEDs, I have found. When using regular green/red "computer" LEDs, they just dim a little.
/\ hi brad your mod is cool.....espcially the button.... erm what diod spec u use to connect the power led to the hdd led?
It worked, didn't it The principle is that the diode is an easier route for the current to go, so when the - is open on the HDD LED, it follows the diode instead of the power LED. ZapWizard taught me. He can correct me if I'm wrong here.
