    could anyone direct me to the page where he puts the black thing on the motherboard tray, cus i cant find it :wallbash:

    i love ur work, i even stole the idea with the 12v plug in the mbt which i will put in my comp

    Just a qikky update guys, for those who wanted to know how the system would run with the MB be covered?

    Just great!!!

    the fans are working a treat and really moving air up accross and over the vital parts.

    I also think alot has to do with the efficiency of the water cooling, effectivly moving heat away from the hottest parts fast.

    The chipset WB also helps a heck of a lot too.

    anyways after running HPResII now non stop for a few days now i can without a doubt say that is a good workable mod :)

    its not the hotest day here atm, but from what i can see it easily manageble to keep it a few degrees abobe room temp.


    heres a qik screener from today, running the cpu @ 100% for a solid few hours now and temps are just cool :cool:

    a qik update

    Hp res needed some sort of custom stand.

    Heres what i came up with.

    cut to shape this will be the upper deck,

    This is the idea the top deck will be suspended off the bottem on a slight angle to "tilt" the pc forward a little for a show display like look.

    Next was to cut 7 support struts to suspend the upper deck

    glue them into place and clamp the 2 decks together.

    so far soo good!!!!

    Next part is to make a lip around the upper deck so the pc dosnt accidently slide off! :shock:

    Using the solid 6mm tube , some heat and some cloth pegs and glue! ill attach the tube around the whole upper deck.

    clamp the tube at a point

    Using the hot air gun apply heat and bend

    Allow dry and peel the rest of the paper off.Attatch some little rubber footsie pads.

    A test run with the spare base,

    Then its inside to test it on the real thing!!!!!!!!!


    Peal off the plastic skin thats still on the base of the pc.

    even i didnt expect the effect to work this well, but was happy it did.

    The way the base is designed i can now i can just slide my hands under pick it up and move the pc around with no fear.
