Working on project:the hydra Hi! I'm new to the forums and love this forum. I want to create a computer ever since december of last year. Why? Because I hate my darn Gateway computer. Anyway, I'm new to modding. It took me weeks to decide but i'm going with it based on the Greek mythological creature: The Hydra. Can anyone provide pictures of it?
hey, I was researching some hydra pictures, here I found. http://scan.tucoo.com/Therion_Boris%20Vallejo_Calendars_1992/photo/boris_vallejo_92_hydra.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Godofwar26.jpg from god of war! i like the god of war design, but I don't want the project based on the god of war game.
I know I post a similar thread, but I wasn't sure If I was doing the project, but now I am. Let me give some background history History of the hydra The hydra was a greek muti-headed mythological monster who was an offspring of Echinda and Typhon. It said in legend that this monster was one of the 12 labors of hecules. Hecules cut off 8 of the heads, but there was one head that couldn't be cut off. So hecules grabbed a boulder and soffacate the last head. You might also recognize the monster from God of war or Disney's Hecules. My goal My goal was original to just do one head, but I felt as though it's cheating the whole greek mythology. So I decided to do 3 heads per panel (Except the front and back panels). Their small heads but good enough. here's what I'm working with [img=http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/5945/10095726ak.th.jpg] I decided to go with this one because it's all steel. this is the motherboad I'm going with power supply if you have any comments post it right here stay tuned for more!
update I decided to go with a template because of the reflection of the fan grill you can't see much. I'm not going to engrave it. I was thinking that I grab a piece of metal steel, cut it, paint one side, then solder it. Only 8 more heads to go!
this is my first small modding project. I decided to replace the original Ultra fan grill and put a fan there. here it is before. after 5 or 10 minutes i'm not sure what to do with this stay tuned for more!

Hydra heads Today I started working on the hydra heads. The first thing I did was taking my dad advice and drawing a template on the metal cutting that tin foil was so much hard work but the end result is this my dad is teaching me how to use his router. Stay tuned for more
