Sweeeeeet Case dude. Just One thing though - You're looking for a MCW20-U from swiftech. Why -U? If you need to use an intel board with that thing ever, it'll hook to the clips. Next off - that res, how much was it to make? I'm considering just making a 5 1/2 one rather than paying the $40 for a pre-made.
It's actually the MCW20-A I need. The res was just made from 4mm thick plexi, nice and cheap to make.
Yes, but the -U will give you both adaptors. As to the blocks, i can get em at two or three places here - no such luck on the other side of the pond?
Not worth it for me. I can get em from bigfoot or e-compuvision here, and just pay the $15 shipping (2 day+cod)
Heatsinks installed with frag tape kindly provided by Kynoch Better angle showing the height of the fins (40mm) Heatsink on the PLL chip by my DDR slots. Also one next to the AGP slot, but I can't get to it just yet My precious!! Took over an hour to do a full format I'm just transferring the data across now. When I've finished messing with drive letters and removing my 60Gb Maxtor, I'm going to run a Western Digital diagnostic on both the 100Gb and the 250Gb drives. It may take some time
£186 including delivery from ebuyer. Formatted, it's 222Gb. I have a 100Gb (93Gb formatted) with 4Gb free at the moment, and my 60Gb Maxtor is nearly full as well.
So many bits.... So little hdd space.... It's a rip off... a 250 should have at least 250 useable!!! after formating!!!! IMHO... Looks good! keep it up.
Wicked Li'l Bender: I hope you aint taking the 'piss' but the size diff after formating is because manufacturers take 1000 rather than 1024 bits to a kbit. Very nice Ouija! You should have gotten the 200 and saved some moolah, your paying premium for the extra 50 (which you dont get....)
Believe me, I need it I am considering getting another and setting them up on RAID. Not yet though. And yes, if I wasn't at work I would probably have replied and also mentioned the manufacturers using 1000s rather than 1024s when advertising drives. Technically, they shouldn't because a kilobyte is NOT 1000 bytes and this could be classed as false advertising or the item not being as described, which it is meant to be. Anyways, who cares? I have more gigs than Iron Maiden and it's time to fill them all up
Yes, GA-7VAXP. I'm changing it for the GA-7NNXP soon and using this in my upcoming project Keep your eyes peeled
