Do i see a ribbon cable in there?! Nah, looking very nice, although the toggle switch in the 3.5" bay looks a little out of place?
This mod is the dogs b*****ks keep up the good work. You have even inspired me to get a Lian Li PC 60 and mod it Keep up the good work Cheers Richman
I have just read the whole thread, nice work ouija. But I didn't see any pics of the finished top panel or the plexi ducting you were planning? Any chance?
I never got round to the ducting and I haven't been able to find a replacement top panel. The top will be filed and sanded as it is, and a mesh is going into the hole. Once I get round to drilling the shroud of my radiator, the top hole will be backlit with some red LEDs.
Ok, I have some explaining to do... One day I switched an exhaust fan from high to low when i heard a big bang. As the smoke started to pour from the top of my radiator (no I didn't take a pic) I had to switch everything off. This was the third fan controller of this type I've used. After having two give up on me and the third fry my motherboard and PSU (yes) I decided not to use the same one again. After removing the fan controller, I plugged the power back into the PSU and upon pressing the power button I got another loud bang and a blue flash from inside. At this point, the circuit breakers tripped and everything turned off. This is the aftermath... Inside the 5.25" bay Again, from inside. Note the audigy 2 Close one The back of the fan controller PCB Power splitter Melty So after getting my motherboard and PSU replaced, I ordered a new Antec fan controller with customisable bezel colour. I haven't decided whether to stealth it or not, but for the moment I have the brushed alu front with black writing I also ordered three new Antec 120mm red LED fans. This saves me from having to drill the radiator shroud to light the Titan Alu fans. Didn't fancy doing that while the radiator was full. Notice the red keeps in line with the scheme of using blue fans for intake and red for exhaust. Fans installed and dust removed Top view All lit up
Very nice mod, but I would suggest, cleaning the wires, would look soooo much better with clean wires. Get all matching colors, red or blue. Or red blue combo but with only one color on. Other than that, very nice mod!!!! Hope you take some of those things into consideration
Well, it's not finished yet. The cables are a mess. But since the window only shows the motherboard, none of the cables are visible anyway.
Ohh, I thought the case was all done But can you tell me where you get those buttons? And if you know a retailer in the US? ALso, do you know if there are 26mm switches? thx
