MMM! Is that a Vanilla Coke I see in the second to last picture?? I swear they must put something "extra" in that drink. Even though it doesn't taste THAT great, I can't stop drinking it!! Speaking of which....I'll be right back...

Edit: what a worthless post to start page 2 on, sorry... :duh:

Great job overall! I really like what you have done and I feel like I have learned alot about cutting cases and planning this type of thing. To me, these are the most useful threads because you are patient with the reader (ME!) and take us through the steps you went through. Thanks a lot for the effort.

thanks for all the good responses so far, really making me feel good :D

    alrighty... new update...

decided to work on the front of the case today, as i wanted to get an idea of where im going with it lol...

i was originally gunna go for just a 120 duct straight to where the radiator was going to be, but i though it would look odd for such a big hole to be on such a little case... so i went with 4 40 mm holes using pvc pipe...

here the first test layout i did...

and then i glued and sanded down the tubes of pvc
    [IMG]
remember to wear a mask like i didnt lol
    [IMG]

then i slapped on the bondo and let it dry
    [IMG]

sanded it down smooth, added a thin second layer
    [IMG]

sanded and ended up with this...

i think they/it turned out really good, i might add another coat of bondo before paint, but im not sure yet, i have some more ideas for the front that i will be putting into action later this week or next weekend, whenever i go home next hehe

Yeh I guess u would call it a Jig-Saw. It's one of them hand-saws in the shape of an upside down U. It's loads of work using them but way more accurate than a Dremel, and it won't slip away so easy. :)

are you talking about a coping saw.....

    or a jig saw

    or a Reciprocating Saw

sorry i am just trying to figure out what kinda saw you are talking about, becuase a jig saw would be horrible for cutting out that window. granted it would be faster, but less percise. I tried to use a jig saw to cut a window once and it was horrible not a straight line on it (yes i know to use a guide, wich i didnt). Plus if he used a jig saw then he couldnt cut the window in his lap keeping his nuts warm :brrr:. lol j/k

well, the rear of the case doesnt, or should i say didnt, have a rear exhaust fan so i whipped out my dremel :dremel: and cut away...

turned out pretty good, and should look killer when i get a fan grill on it...

    and then disaster
    [IMG]
the steel plate i was using to keep all the stamped parts held on, decided that epoxy is not good enough and let go of the pieces... so i decided to just cut the side out in a circle and make one from some spare steel or aluminun or possibly some acrylic or something... ill figure that one out later on, thats all i got done tonight, and will hopefully get some more done on friday or saturday...

let me know what you think.. thanks
