    Update 4.

Today it was time to do some modding. This time i made the mobotray.

First i did some measurements and then some drawning and after that some cutting.

Then i tapped all the holes with M3 and i usedf a drill. This saves a lot of time but be carefull keep the drill straight and use tap oil.

I also made a small movie for the people who want to try it.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6P9jSXkSSc

After that i bend the tray and used temporary bolt for test fitting the mobo.

Then i used some 10mm stainless rods and cut them to the right lenght did some bending and welded them on the tray.

Time to weld the tray on the frame.

Mounted the mobo and this is the result.

Great positioning, love the extra space around the mobo. :thumb:

still can't figure out if I open a Paslis thread for the new build, or the awesome machinery at his disposal :p

looking really good so far and although I don't LOVE these kind of builds, I do LOOOOOOVE that raw look and OMG that welding

Oh, God! If you did this only in that round bar it would be soooo neat.
-I mean, it's awesome now, but something so super minimal...

I have to agree on that one Cheapskate.I work on the fly so if i go to the shop i look at the case and thinking whats next and i must admit thats awesome not knowing what your gonna make.Sure sometimes i think maby if i did that different it would look better but to be honest i have that with every project i do.

    Update 5.

This weekend it was time to do some modding. The intension was to get started with the hdd brackets but i got a strange feeling about the psu holder so it had to go.This also gave me the idea to change the design.

    The psu bracket.

Then i removed the psu holder and covered my tracks. :)

Then i changed the design and took some stainless 10mm rods and bended them and welded them to the frame.

Mounted the front back on and this is how it looks.

Finally i like it and i also got some crazy ideas on how to continue. :) More to come.

D'oh! You could have mounted the mobo tray so it hinged on the rod. Kinda have the whole assembly flip down for access.
-Wish I wasn't so slow with ideas.:(

^ Like Cheaps's idea, Mind I did like what you had done with the PSU bracket too... but I know what it's like when you look at something and it niggles.

Really like this Paslis and I think it stands up as some really great design even without any hardware in.

Not a bad idea Cheapskate but with what i have in mind the tray will look good.

Thanks a lot Asouter and i have to admit Cheapskate's idea is a good one.The psu cover gave me a bad feeling so it had to go.

    Update 6.

This weekend i made the hdd brackets.I used 2mm stainless for the brackets and a 10mm rod.

First i cut and bend the brackets.

Then i spotwelded them to the frame and after that i finished welding them.
