    Last items :

Ide to SATA converter directly from Hong Kong, I'll use for one optical drive. Or I hope so :)

New keyboard, Aurora from Enermax! I'm really happy with this item, and I'm planning to mod even the keyboard! A little feature that is really important to me :

Usb, with tho usb replicator, but with mic and headphone plug, I hate to see a lot of cables on my desk, so this feature will help me to keep the desk clean.
Now, what do you say for my new hardware?
    :)

Here is the bare psu on my desk :

Now I need to change the original fan with a chromed one , but the original connector is smaller than the one that I have...

Quick solutino : cut the receptacle that is on board :)

In the meantime I've pulled out the four blue led on the fan, and I suppose to don't put any light inside the PSU... And now, what more? Exchange the grill!

But, first of all, let's cover the Sunbeam logo with some adhesive mirror :

Here is the completed fan, and now, a little news :

    The chromed PSU chassis :)
It's not perfect, but it's the best that the chrome guys can do...

Rear view, not so bad... And 20 more euros to the chrome guys...

Re.assebling the psu, and changing the grill with a stainless steel one :

The fan is mounted with hex head screws, like all the the other little items in this case :)

PSU in place, i have to say that's ok for me, but it's not true... I would like to have a real mirror psu, but this is the best that I can obtain, but now I'm planning some solution to cover all...

    Complete view, comments?

One little more chromed item :

    Motherboard spacer, chromed :-]
I know, near useless, but I love to see the chrome under the motherboard tray, I hate to see the yellow of the spacer protunding...
ASAP more up, sorry for the upload delay, but the real life, and the real work , is killing me...

Your works are sweet, not mine! But, anyway, tnx a lot!

Some shopping from my favourite shop :

Scrap alu pieces, 10 euros all the pieces :)
Now it's the time to take some measure for the optical drive box :

Now I have all the measure, it's time to cut!First piece :

Not so bad, now I have to do the other pieces...

This is how I want to secure the box :

3M Dual Lock, I love it!

This is the side, you can see the two red stripes, they are the protection for the double sided tape that I use, it'an other 3m products, it cost a lot, near 6 euros for 2 meters..

    A little question...
Nobody is wandering why the relative position of the two drives is so important? It's to fix in place the original bay cover!

First of all, 3 U-shaped pieces of alu, 8mm each side:

Some holes, tapped to M4 only from one side...

The other side, more holes, but this time tapped M3 like the original screw of the bay cover. One last work is missing, the polishing!

It's not good, but I can polish more in future, this part will be recessed, so I don't care a lot now...

Let's go on to the box :

the lower angle are in alu, 3cm each side, the top ones are 2cm, the overall height will be 5 cm and 2 mm, for the base and the top..

The top... I've managed to obtain a quick opening method, so I've used normal M4 stainless steel screws :

Not so bad, now I have to polish it, but will be the work for next modding session!

 Well I actually don't know what works you mean, since I haven't done any real modding yet, just some plans in my head.

    But thanks anyway  :)
