    Here we go again :)

These pretty little clear leds (notice the marvelous 100ohm resistors attached) are going under mobo stealth plate!

And behold! There is light! (an typically digicam takes crappy pictures of lights at dark).

    Thanx all :)

I too were happy with the results. I have superglued leds to their places today and placed wires of leds to approciate places...

Today I yet have to do some capacitor placing, I have to soldier those too high capacitors off the board and place those horisontally with some short wires.

An this one was hard to do !!!! :waah:

Removing all capacitors and soldiering wires between them and mobo.

    Frustrating job .... .. . . . . :miffed:

ps. no I don't have a clue if it works anymore as I don't have working BIOS.

erm... wont adding wire length to the equation add more resistance to the whole thing and mess it up? bit of a risky mod imo, why did you even want to do that anyway? :hehe:

    its sure original though :)

Well... I "had" to lower the height of the capacitors, because they were twice the height of the other components, and I didn't want to cut holes for those too in my stealthplate.

I know it's risky, and if I have any problems I have to take wires off, but lets hope for the best :)

Edit: Actually I just now googled for some answers (pro / amateur answers) in mobo capacitor issues and seems like mobo's are not extremely picky about capacitors.... hope it will work.

    Wires

You should be ok as long as they aren't that long, the resistance across wire isn't bad at all until you get into great lengths, but as short as these are, I don't think you will have any problems. :thumb:
Given you perks, she is looking good so far!!!!

Your mother board cover is fantastick, moving the caps around like that counts as some hard core modding in my book!   I am looking forward to future updates. :hip:

One of your sketches shows a third set of wheels in the center. With that kind of support you could make the case in two sections. The "front" sections holds the drives and the "rear" section holds the mobo/psu. The two sections are connected with a vertical piano hinge on the right side. That way you can flip the case open sideways for better access to the drive bays from the cable end.

I never tried this and I have never seen it, but I often wished cases were built like that so I don't risk damaging the mobo or plug-in cards while I try to pull a stubborn cable off a drive.

I really like that case that you got. Where did you get it?

Nice idea there ! I haven't thought that, but definitely will be considering! (There's only one wheel on center, but I could put there two...)
