    Hello everyone !

My name is Thomas Scherrer @ XTSX, I'm 23 years old and I come from France ;)
I just want to present my new project, something that was done by hand, from a simple idea, followed by drawings and its realisation.;)
(I remind you my first modding : Corsaire 650D N7 edt)

The main idea of the project was to have the possibility of putting the computer (case) into an Ikea furniture and precisely from the Expedit series.
The facade of the case has to be similar to the Lekman Ikea furniture, that is a kind of storage with a cube form. With the dimensions of 330x330x370mm (LxHxD) of the tower, I wanted to integrate an ATX motherboard (305x244mm). However, there was no case with these precise dimensions on the market, so I decided to create mine.
The form of the tower is quite simple, but accepts different size of CPU-coolers, power suplies and graphic cards. The structure is made with valleys and aluminium plates.
I think only the door will be in a translucent frosted PMMA.

    - ASUS Sabertooth P67 (available)
    - SLI GTX 560ti (available)
    - 3 Fans 140mm Be Quiet!
    - Power suplies Be Quiet!
    - CPU-coolers Be Quiet!

    - Processor/CPU (I'd choose a I5 2500K/3570K/3770K)
    - Memory ?
    - SSD ?

For the moment I want to stay with an Air cooling system because I haven't enough budget for a water cooling one.

And I think to do the top of the box with a plexiglass / PMMA plate, so we can see something in it anyway.

    First steps:

I want my structure to be freestanding

Cutting and fixing aluminum brackets that will support plate for the motherboard.

I received the anodized aluminum plates cut with shears by a colleague :)

And a small test with plates on the structure to see if the size fits well. :thumb:

Recovery support CM + I / O PCI Pannels an old case.

A little bit of Dremel in the plate for an opening behind the CPU slot, and 2/3 cuts for integrating into the case.

I never did like them ikea units. However this is a smart little idea. I like the layout you are using for the build. How will you manufacture the case? Hand tools or CNC? Good job with the renders.

    Beautiful renders.

Will you use aliminium as main material?

Nice mod, particularly like the idea of integrating it into the furniture without having to BUILD the furniture :D

    Little progress logo with lighting.
The surface is not clean enough for my taste, not easy to sand between 2/3mm variance.

I'll see to cut a plate with laser in 2/3 week.
