Scratch Build – Complete Project: L3p D3sk - Bit-Tech Mod Of The Year 2011 Winner.

Asked Cooler Master NL if they could help me out with a little test project cause of a voltage problem with the raidcard.

They did, and within 4 days i got this package trough my mailbox




Maybe im going to use 2 x 700W instead of 1x1200W







Lets unpack.

What was the issue with the 1200W?

 

Well i think it's too loud when using 400W idle with the ax1200 for a silent desk

 

Could I ask you a favour? Since you aren't using the AX1200 any more, would it be possible for me to buy your ATX cable? Mine broke and I've been waiting for Corsair to supply a replacement since January

 

I'm sorry man, i wish i could help you.
But im still using it, except not in my desk.
And if i sell the ATX cable, what can i do with it ?

How will 2 PSUs not be noisier than one? Is the AX1200 bad, noise-wise?

 

To be honest, i never has such a noisy psu before, it's even noisier idle then all my others stressed

 

Been playing with a lot of stuff this weekend

It was to see the effect of flowing Acid green right under UV leds in the desk.

After the mouse i was looking for a fitting mousepad for the desk.
Personally i like cloth pads like the Q-pad.
Couldn't find anything at all.
All i could find was a pad with leds in it.
But then the idea popped up ..
Still had some plexi somewhere, and there are 150 UV smd leds in my desk so why not try it

The cupholder is just pure modding class.

 

Really loved you desk from the start you even inspired me in my project. Not going to build a desk but a wall mounted computer over my desk instead. Already have the nicest desk already Aluminium frame and frosted glass But now you you go and to this... I can't say how disappointing it was to see this update.......



Wait a minute who am I trying to fool THIS IS FRACKING AWSOME!!!!!!! UV Mousepad and cupholder where are you getting your ideas from? Sign my up with a subscription on your muse
Anyway do you mind if I try too copy that idea? Was planing to replace my 230V Blue light rope I ave around my desk to illuminate the glass with some home made PWM controlled RGB LED-rails so why not add some UV LED:s as well and make some UV stuff to place on it too

 

I love the coaster and mouse mat mods, looks so cool.

 

I could sell my Intel X18-M for a good price, so wanted to try the Intel 510.
Going to use it as OS drive
