Looking good this is a total beast for a small lan rig .

 

Whoa, the cut fins make the otherwise kinda dull RAM cooler look awesome!

 

Trust me... If I received all the packages you do, my fingers wouldn't be the only thing tingling!

I love the refitting of the small pieces of the cooling fins! Not necessary at all, but looks beautiful!

Excellent build fella, quick question.. What material are you making the WB out of?
Been thinking about machining some of my own blocks for my 590s, just would like to know what you think the best material would be really?
I hear aluminium can cause some problems but if it was cut from premium billet aluminium and then coated would that suffice?

Actually no idea if there is some sort of aluminum that you can use together with for example copper.
Personally I would never go for aluminum, even when it's coated or treated.
For this block we will use copper, maybe I'll nickel plate it, but not sure yet.
Tonight I'll drop some pictures of the new solidwork files.

 

I might use copper and plate it then, if you could post some cad screen shots that would be good man, I've got some ideas for it.. Il have to post a log when I go to make them. Thanks for your help mate.

 

Small update

Drilling and tapping the small radiator to M4.








And back to the MarsII block

Daniel has been very busy with it last week.
Really this guy owns








Copper part done.




While he was busy with this I had to think of something for the POM part.
Got a spontaneous idea to recycle the red aluminum parts from the original cooler.
Off course with paint




Daniel didn't know what to think of it but we went for it
Time for me to measure again






And re-measuring. That guy thinks about everything.

Daniel really liked it a lot at the end too, I'm completely in love!
