No need to kill that beauty Lian-li for a Rusty mod.
It's getting a 'done that been there' stamp on it.
(Piloux, _ferry_) Guess giving it a nice colorscheme is uniquer :wallbash:
Ah well decide yourself, your case, the way you like it the most :thumb:

Go with the Custom paint man.. Nice shiny paint beats the hell out of rust.. Altho being an artist you might opt for the rust to show some charecther. (sp)

I may have to bite the bullet on my case a little, people. As I was Dremeling the case panel, right around the whisker things on the face, one of them cracked. I thought I was going to have to just Dremel the thing off, and continue on the panel, lesson learned. But I was talking to my friend, Eric, yesterday, and he told me that his uncle does laser/waterjet cutting, and he is going to talk to him for me.

This is where I bite the bullet...I know it's not quite as satisfying having someone cut your case for you, but I don't have much choice. If I continue on the case panel, without the whiskers, it won't look quite right (and as a borderline obsessive/compulsive, it would drive me insane knowing I had a mistake). The other thing is, I need to devote my time to finishing the actual cooling system and computer before I worry about my side panel. Again, the whole point of my project (at least in my case) is to build a workable computer (I just took it one step further and decided to overclock).

Opinions? Anyone want me to finish the case panel, and then buy it from me? Because, if that is the case, I will do that to try to offset the cost of the new panel.

Lol yeah, not too long ago it was 23:0 or so... but I think it definitely is a sign... people seem to be tiring of the rusty mods and probably want to begin seeing more sleek mods once again.

    Damn right :D ,
But are you saying you want to stop worrying or being active with the case-exterior and concentrate more on the 'interior' as in hardware/OC and getting the thing working?

Basically, the end of my proclaimed time-frame is coming close, and I want to get the computer itself finished. The paint and case panel are just icing on the cake. :D

It would be lesser of a mod if you wouldn't give it the proper finish it deserves :D

Swallow the pill, give it the extra time it needs, and give 'as you should' me very horny updates on not only the hardware but also the exterior/art. :worried:

I think you should not make a industrial look, because too maqny guys had done this and if you will do the industrial look, you won't be noticeable. And my peronal opinion is that the other choice is better than the industrial look (I would prefer a designer look - i mean very clean and very modern)

Just ordered these a few days ago:

    Kingwin CPU cooler w/fan
    http://images10.newegg.com/productimage/35-124-004-01.JPG

    Windows XP Pro w/SP2 OEM
    http://images10.newegg.com/productimage/37-102-153-01.JPG

Western Digital 250GB SATA hard drive
    http://images10.newegg.com/productimage/22-144-154-03.JPG

and, since Staples had an awesome sale on everything on Friday (and because I work there), I bought one of these, for $40:

    Maxtor 160GB ATA/IDE hard drive (For 40 bucks...that's 25 cents per gig!)
    http://www.staples.com/images/products/catalog/enlarged/S0052419_enl.jpg

Edit: I was reading the microsoft OEM eligibility requirements, and one of them is that, if the OS is being bought with hardware - Number One: The hardware must be integral in the operation of the software, and Number Two: The Certificate of Authenticity must be attached to the outside of the case somewhere. But who the hell would ruin the good looks of any self-respecting computer (catch that AI reference?) with a big ole' nasty sticker?! Screw you guys, Microsoft! I do what I WANT! (you just got served)

because the poll is leaning HEAVILY towards a reddish finish i think you should add some orange and/or yellow onto important parts to make them stand out super bright!! just a thought :D

Some people just have all the money in the world to burn don't they? :miffed: I guess being able to buy 160GB HDD's for USD40 really does help.

But the case is looking nice! Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing the end result :)
