Hello fellow modders... I am new here on this forum, but I wanted to have some experts look at my first casemod. It is almost finished. Please tell my what you think of it. The object was to make a clean mod, beginning from a boring case: the SuperFlower SF-402 First I made a window, with a shark-tribal integrated. Then I painted the bezel, made some blowholes from ordinary pvc-tubes, which I've painted in aluminium. I made a top blowhole with 120mm silent fan, a rheobus with lcd on an aluminium plate (2mm thick), and I stealthed the drives with the same sort of aluminium. Finally I inserted a blue ccfl. Here are the pics: Hope you like it... There's more on my website (dutch)
That's a great transfomation! Do you have any in-progress pics? And what happened to Lucille I and Lucille II? Did you screw them up? (Unlike this one...)
lol, no I didn't srew them up... Lucille I en II have never been modded this is my first one... here are some in progress pics from the cutout and blowholes: Cutout: Blowholes in front: First, I cut out the holes, and closed the existing airholes with some plaster When it was dry, i polished it, and put on the ground layer Then off course the final layers of shiny black paint (4 thin layers) The pvc-tubes before they were painted The front view with unfinished blowholes ... ... and the final pic
did you cut it with the knife? nice cuts on the shark, i would never be able to do somin like that....
That is very nice. Didn't I see that window mod as part of an article over at MadShrimps or SharkyExtreme? If it is, that was all coping saw cuts if I remember right.
Cool! I need to find me one of those coping saws you used for that mod. I have been looking for one here in the states but have not had any luck yet. I have only looked at my local hardware stores. Where did you get yours?
