Sure, what color do you want them in? I have access to a wide variety of scrap plastic.
Can you measure the outer diameter of your IDE cables? Mine are a little under 1/2"

I'd love to make some out of aluminum but I don't have a source for scrap and they would be quite a bit harder to make with the tools I have.

My IDE cables are the same as yours in the picture, so no worries. They measure 11mm in diameter. I'm happy to have the spacers in black, thanks! :thumb:

I subscribed, and even though it seems like it's taking forever, it is an amazing mod, so I will watch it and derive ideas. :) mod on!

Hail the conquering hero: (Aladin style trumpet fanfare - Nexxo walks towards his throne, Pete decides on less coffee next time).

Just wanted to thank the site collectively, and this thread in particular for providing such a good resource for the new modder / electrically inept (that would be me).

I'll be having a bash at some of this modding stuff myself now then. Hopefully I won't be accused of vandalism when I post the results for Nexxo et al to cast their beady eyes over!

    Cheers - Pete

    Why thank you. :D

Small (but significant) update: Metaversa is up and running! Booted up not long ago and CPU temps are stable at 40C and 39C respectively. Together with an ATi 9800 Pro, all on a single BIX, ladies and gentlemen! The radiator doesn't even feel luke-warm. :D Which is nice.

Most impressive! Probably due to your rediculously efficient loop ;)

while your project is amazing nexxo, the sad part is that it's sort of fallen behind the times. When you first started it with the kickass CPUs and videocard, it was amazing, yet as time progressed, components aged, and that 9800 Pro just looks inadequate now... lol.

Well that just proves it, the BIX will most likely cope with an SLi setup. Are you still going to change the radiator for a BIX2? Any pictures of the system up and running? :D

    I wouldn't call a dual Opteron 250 "behind the times"... :eyebrow: :p

But you are right that the GPU isn't cutting-edge anymore. No matter, I can simply upgrade it for an X800. ;) Anything beyond that is simply overkill.

Nope, I don't think I'll drop in a BIX2; there is simply no need and I don't think it justifies the added expense and surgery... I'm drawing a line under it here. I will now concentrate on finishing the details and the external cosmetics of the case.

Pics will follow as soon as I have tidied up the wiring a bit.

A Simple X800? Nexxo, you've got Twin opertons in there. You need at least an XT. I can see where a PE would be a little over the top :D
