As my mother said, if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all. Please don't be so unpleasant!

You're more than welcome to set out your comments, but please don't liken things to dog poo... Thanks.

Did you play the game amagriva?

I really like the mod mate, gives the clear connection between the game and the theme, especially the mask. As for spiders... yeah, not really my fave bit in there.

    Cheers

    Really Amagriva,

If you don't like the build that is fine and saying that "I don't like it , don't get it etc." got it but to be downright nasty and rude . . . grow up. If you took the time to read the post from the beginning you would get it is based on a game . . . perhaps try reading the post next time.

As for your dog poo . . . well let's just say you know what you can do with it.

    Aging the GPU

I will be using a Zotac 550Ti as the GPU. Because I inverted the mobo, the shroud portion of the GPU will be fully visible so in keeping with the theme of build . . . you guessed it . . . rust, grime and aging is a necessity.

    Before:

    After:

Getting from Pristine to Old and Grimy

Firstly I removed the shroud and mesh

I used a lighter to score and melt the plastic at key points and bent out some of the mesh.

I was going for an industrial hazard yellow and black stripe look so the paint job went along those lines:

I wanted to age the fan so it looked rusted but could not remove the fan blade so with some strategic taping and sponge painting I achieved the look I was going for

I removed the back plate and gave it a good rusting.

The final step was using a mix of latex caulking, hues of orange and brown paint to create the deep rusting look. Bits of wood charcoal were ground into the wet latex mix for texture and final sponging of orange/brown was applied to highlight the rusted areas.

    Mounting the top exhaust fan

I decided that I would mount the green LED fan as the intake fan (front of case) as it would provide a nice green glow in the case. So I moved the non-LED fan to the top of the case.

Been watching this over at the Zoo. The 'chicken wire' mesh fits right in with the theme.

I love this kind of mod! Keep it up, man!

Thanks much and I am glad you are enjoying the mod

Unfortunately could not get my hands on either so had to make due with .303. Thanks for the Russian translation - I will definitely fix that.

    Cheers

    Superb build Bad Fenny :thumb:

Just shows you really can make amazing PC's even if you don't have the best hardware out there.
Ingenuity and effort trumps all!!!
