Those are very sweet HD blocks. Never really saw them before being commercially available. Mind telling us where did you pick them up from?

i dont see the benefit of those hdd blocks as in my experience most of the heat in a hard drive is in the top and bottom and by having 3 hard drives stacked on top of each other is only going to increase the heat and reduce your waterflow round your watercooling circuit?

Well its a enginer i Sweden who makes them.. But if you are nice maby he would make some for ya... Try this webbpage = http://hj07.dyndns.org/ its in swedish but have a try :thumb:

Well the harddrives are constructed to lead the heat to the sides. And with the blocks you will be able to chill them better than air and reduce the sound, by putting som soundresistant material around them or so..

This should be good if you can pull it off...which you can. Good luck, and keep us posted. I'd like to see this when it's done.

Sounds like a great idea. Let me know how it works out with the lightspeed. I have done the same thing with a promie and its a really tight fit plus the evap block isnt round so mounting it was a lot harder with the mb upside down and all. Also you may want to reinforce the bottom area where the hds go as when you take out the rails for them it becomes rather weak. It sagged in the middle quite a bit on mine until i reinforced it a bit.

Hey, this is exactly what I'm working on at the moment. I thought I had a mod no one else would do for a while, well :wallbash:

I'm going to follow your work closely to see if I can learn any thing that might come to use in my project.

Keep up the good work!

    Regards,
    Karl

The funny thing is I'm from sweden as well :hip:

My project will be based on the 2100B case, VapoChill LS and AquaComputer bit's 'n pieces....

I guess it wasn't that imaginative, but hey! I'm after the performance not the bling.

Well, well, where did you get the VapoChill and the Lian-Li? On-line or from a swedish retailer?

I'd like to see some detailed shots of your compressor install. Was it a tight fit or is there plenty of room? My initial idea was to squeze the VapoChill in to the Lian-Li V1100 case, I'm fairly good with the :dremel: ....

How do you plan to manage the heat from the compressor? Any additional fans or blow holes?

That swedish HDD block is pure art :jawdrop: jummy...

    Kind regards,
    Karl
