Sponsors Hello everyone! I've been a long time lurker and finally got around to posting my completed build with pictures of the whole process. This build, as you have guessed, is using the themes from Mirror's Edge Catalyst for the majority of the build. I will be using the Red Harbinger Dopamine case as the base for this build. Also, I will be using PETG tubing and custom sleeved cables provided by Primochill. Parts List MSI X-99s SLI PLUS Intel i7-5820k Crucial Ballastix Sport DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) Asus R9 290X Corsair Force GS 240GB Corsair Force 60GB Seagate 2TB Samsung 2TB Corsair AX1200 Bitfenix Spectre Pro 120mm Fans x 4
Here's the case itself before any modification. First step was for me to repaint the case with a more glossy white. Afterwards, I taped up the sides to paint the case with a red accent stripe on both sides. Prepped for painting
Mounting the motherboard Before I re-assembled the case, I drilled out some hole to install some case feet on the bottom of the case. Once I had the case back together, I started taking apart the motherboard and mounting on the water blocks. Mounted into the case And then proceeded to mount the radiators
Mounted the GPU inside the case. Began to run cables and test fitted tube from the motherboard to GPU.
Hi Can you resize your pictures please - they're far too big (the large thumbnail option in imgur works best I find) Thanks GK
Onto making the bottom plate! Then cutting out the first layer of the motherboard cover. Test fitting the pump/res to see how everything lines up. Now cutting the second layer to the motherboard cover. Many long nights were spent. Throw some LEDs in there... Cover it all back up. Test fit everything once more before moving on to the fun part.
Did the first few runs and made sure the LEDs worked. Filling the loop up and leak test. Time to POST... Added one more touch...
