Woop midday update guys
i started out by cutting the rest of the green pieces and ended with this
And i have just started gluing bits together to make the supports
Thats it so far i will be gluing more after ive eaten but i will show you how many i get done
Ok well here is the rest of the update
I continued gluing...
That there is 1.5 hours worth of gluing lol fun day!
and this is roughly how they will be arranged
Rad on top of pump/res
hdd on top of psu again
and thats it for today. ill be back next week to do more
I'm seeing pieces coming together here. This is verra nice. Take a rest.
PS: Thanks for trying to tell us what was hooking to what! I get confused and and have to do the first page sketchup click back. Hard on an old man. Just shweet.
That thing is just great ;D
It's ultimate Cheesecake
And John dont worry im having a nice relaxing weekend
Hey guys im back with another update
I decided this morning that i would make the supports a bit simpler so i am not drilling holes in them and they are a slightly different shape but it like it and it means that i can just about cut them on my scroll saw then i just need to use my belt sander to flatten them down
and then i got them polished (ill get better macro shots another day
i then drilled and tapped them.
attached the first
And the rest
Then after a while i had this done rad,pump/res and mobo
Thats it for today so i will hopefully get at least the next four done tomorrow and i hope to have these supports completed by thurs then i need to make the support that runs between the rad and hdd housings to hold the dvd housing.
then i need to wait for money so that i can buy my cable management stuff then i just need to get it painted and its done
It looks lovely and all, but I can't help that think extruded/turned Aluminium would have look better.
Its coming together very nicely, nice one x06jsp
Very hot! I love it. You are doing a nice job buddy. well done.
Lol maybe so but..... i cant afford to get my mill yet
Hey guys well i have got the hdd mounted to the psu housing
support before polishing after sanding
Attached to the psu housing
And attached to the hdd housing
so there we have it all i have left for these supports is putting feet on the psu housing and then joining that double section to the rest of it then i just have to make the supports for the dvd housing then all fabrication is done
And i maybe be able to buy some of the stuff for cable management this week/next week
It's becoming a really really nice case, but how are you going to do the wiring and tubing?
very special case and all the plexi whoa nice
Thanks guys And binkz0r i am going to be running black watercooling tubes between the psu housing and other housings with cable extensions in that will be part of the case so that i can just plug the psu in inside the psu housing and then the watercooling tubing will just be routed whichever way seems best
Oh, Sh- I had an image of this thing made with heatsinks!
NO CHEAPSKATE! NO!
Looking good so far Josh... probably the most obvious thing in the world but it'll look a million times better without that protective film over the plexi
Lol thanks guys (and cheap dont worry one day soon ill have my mill and ill be using that a lot in my projects
Well guys im back with yet another update
So i got the four supports that will be the feet of the psu housing
Marking out where i want them to go
This is how far i am now the only bits i need to join are the supports between the psu and the mobo
and i had a bit more time soooooo i cut and polished the supports that will be going between the psu and mobo
And i will mount them on friday.
Well guys another update and its a goodun
All the last acrylis supports drilled
and secured to the mobo housing
and then secured to the psu housing
then i polished up another rectangle of acrylic
and cut the rod of arylic i had into two
and then secured together along with a bit of alu angle
and attached to the hdd housing
angle and acrylic then attached to the rad housing
and i can just about lift it!! lol its heavy and i have to get a board for it to sit on so i will barely be able to lift the case alone when its done lol!
Now there really is only wiring and painting to do
Hope you like this update i know i do!
