Mystique is my second project for Cooler Master. It is quite obviously based on a CM Mystique enclosure. I didn't choose a specific theme, I'm just aiming for something looking very futuristic and sleek. The hardware isn't very new, but I'm not going to use the pc much anyway.

Thanks to Cooler Master Europe for supplying the Mystique 631.

    Hardware
» Cooler Master Mystique 631 (miditower, silver)
» DFI Lanparty nForce2 Ultra B (ATX, AGP, nForce2, black PCB)
» AMD Athlon XP Mobile 2500+ (Barton core, socket A, 1.8ghz)
    » XFX GeForce 6800GT (256mb, AGP8x, green PCB)
    » 2x 1GB Mushkin XP4000 DDR (CL3)
    » Tagan Black 480 Watt
» Densitron 4x40 character LCD (green backlight)
    » Custom watercooling kit

    Sketches made in SketchUp:

Last week I received most of the supplies I need, so the project can finally start now.

The UV acrylic, green for this project, blue for my other project.

I got a new sponsor, they sent me two reservoirs, a Repack 5.25" bay reservoir for my media center PC and a Cape Coolplex Pro 10 for this project. Both reservoirs are made by Alphacool.

This is the pump I'm going to use, a Hydor Seltz L30 II (1200lph, Hmax 1.95m)

I'm probably going to leave the cover off the pump.

Wow, the drawings looks really awesome. Though, why are you putting the LCD on the side, instead of in the front?

Btw. when you haven't started with the modding, you dont have a log.

Indeed I haven't started with the modding yet. Well actually I have, because I've replaced the ATX connector of the PSU with a 20 pins instead of the 24 pins it used to have (old motherboard still has 20 pins ATX). :dremel:
I'm putting the LCD on the side because it won't fit on the front or top because the PCB on it is 19cm wide and the case is 20cm wide... Also it fits perfectly next to the PSU :)

Small update... I've taken the PC apart and took some photo's. The motherboard:

Of course the ugly CPU cooler will be replaced by a waterblock. I'm building a custom waterblock from the base of a DangerDen TDX:

The TDX was made for a socket 939 system so it won't fit on this board. Therefore I'm going to make a new cover from a 8mm thick piece of acrylic. Something like this:

If you want to make the mounting plate last i recommend making it out of polycarbonate or acetal/delrin.

I have a spare piece of 8mm acrylic lying around so I'm using that. It says Perspex on the protection film but that is just a trade name for Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) acrylic.. but I don't know anything about different types of acrylic anyway.

@Sol Badguy: I'm modding it for Cooler Master and to use it at casemodding competitions. A while ago I sold my main PC so my new main PC is my media center (Aquamedia) which has a 3000+ Venice with a GeForce 7600GS. After CeBIT I'm going to build a new main PC with better hardware. I might sell Mystique when I have no more use for it, if anyone is still crazy enough to buy an Athlon XP :p

Ah, I like the colour scheme you're going for here! I think having the LCD on the side is actually a pretty good idea, because I for one have my case on top of my desk, and it's a lot easier to look at the side of it than to move around so I can see the front of it.

Mini-update, I stipped down the case to bare metal.

I took off the slides for the drivebays. Obviously I don't want purple in my casemod ;) I'm going to spray them black.

I've made two holes in the back of the case for the fittings of the radiator which is mounted at the back of the case. I didn't have a 2cm drill but my fake dremel did the job :dremel:
To give you an idea of the way the watercooling is going to be placed I placed the pump and reservoir in the case as well. The radiator is held in place by a piece of tape :p

The sketches are already old :p I have a new idea for the window.

Only without the text of course ;)

Made the plexi cover for the CPU waterblock:

Still needs to be sanded and holes drilled and tapped for the fittings.

Please can you remove the right-angle connector coming from the pump out-put..

I't will kill your flow, and I actually think it may look better with a gentle curve on the tube. Otherwise, i'm liking where this project is heading.

Indeed I have thought about the right-angle connector at the output of the pump. I originally intended not to use it but the tube will kink if I don't. I'll try some other tubing later (UV green) which is more flexible. Otherwise I'll use a metal spring around the tube but I'd have to buy a new one because I only have one for 6x1 tubing. Another option is using 8mm Tygon tubing but I'd have to order that as well.
