Thanks all Hey is it just me, or is Bit-Tech extremely slow today? Update: I've now installed the cooler on the card: The block is mounted with M3 hex bolts screwed into the mounting holes of a Fatal1ty VGA cooler. The block is pushed against the card by springs taken from ballpoint pens. Simple but effective The fact that the memory lost its cooling is not a problem, because the system is going to run Linux anyway. Also decided not to countersink the holes because that would make the outer holes get too close to the edge.
Hmm, not really what I see in it. I'm looking for something that sticks with the mystic theme and the green. I don't really like naming the color either. I needed a name because Cooler Master has asked me for some information that they will print on a nameplate for CeBIT. This casemod will be on display at the Cooler Master stand at CeBIT this year. Because they needed the info today I'm sticking with Mystique for now.
Today I've been working on the watercooling. I remade the cover of the CPU block because I wasn't satisfied with the last one. I chose to make it a reclangle instead. Installed it all inside the case: Last but not least, I bought an Acer AL2216W 22" widescreen TFT.
ok the mod is great! i just cant help but think that is a waste of a 6800GT core and 2GB of ram, just to run linux on and to only run every now and then. please stick some stinks on the memory, even if its only the stock cooler, it should still fit. no offence.
@1e8o: I live in the Vossenbelt (Londenstraat). @Damouse: I could have taken clear tubing but I wanted to use something more original. @Burnout21: Well I know that it will be a waste to use linux with a 6800GT and 2gb ram (I think I'm going to replace the ram with 2x512mb), but for me its not a problem. I have two machines at the moment and I'm going to build a new one after CeBIT, so I don't have any use for it. After the mod is done and used with casemod contests I'm going to sell it or give it away. About the ramcooling, I could stick the original ramcooler on, didn't think of that.
Great mod, very clean work so far. I love the fan/light switch bus too! Mind if I steal the idea?? Also, what kind of blade did you use on the scroll saw to cut the side panel?
this is looking pretty good.. i was tempted to start hacking up my mystique, and this gives me a couple nice ideas! call it green myst?
