A little peek inside. I didnt have the time or the patience to draw out the cooling lines, but i assembled mostly all of the hardware. Enjoy, but read the restrictions and points of interest below the pic.

Obivous problems and details that need to be dealt with first. The huge gray cylindar ar the top left of the pic is the resevoir if it was unclear and the gray box at the bottom is the slot loading dvdrw/cdrw drive. The psu is not going to be the typ pictured there, ill buy or be sponsoered a new, colorful one from where ill take the cover off and leave it exposed inside the case. All of the wires are going to be wrapped a la Orac with the plastic tubing over the wires blue uv sheathing and the wires are going to be attached (somehow) to the inside of the side of the case all the way around, there arent going to be any loose wires just floating around in the middle of the case. The pump is obvious, the graphics card is obvious, and the rad is the thing on the far left. Obviously the whole layout needs some more work but this is about the general idea.

Now for the hard part. Youll notice the position on the motherboard. look at it, look at it... and :duh:. The entire motherboard is removed from any of the four sides damouse! whatever will you do?! To which i answer i dont quite know yet. I have spare plugs for all of the i/o sockets, soo ill just lop them off after about 3 inches and make an extension i/o box to the far side; same with the graphics.

    what else....
You cant see the HDs from this angle, theyre right under the side the shot is taken from.

no thats not it, theres something else...
got it! The coolant im going to use is going to be yellow. Yes, yellow. my only problem is that i cant for the life of me find UV yellow coolant, noone carries it! This is a cry for help, if you know of ANYWHERE that sells it in yellow( and ONLY yellow, no yellow-green) please tell me. Im using it to tie in with the rest of the mod and i think it has potential, provided that it doesnt mix with the blue and make green. Some testing is in order, but first i need that coolant!

So this about wraps up my barebones plans for now. The case is way to crowded for my tastes and as it is right now the tubing is going to kink up at every turn, so ill have to change that. The inside is going to be covered with matte black foam on the bottom and the rest spray painted black to avoid any reflections, i dont want the hardware shining all sorts of reflections, i want it to stand out against the black backround.

Almost forgot to mention the control panel. for the sake of symmetry, form, and ease, im going to take all of my wonderful toggle switches and mount them along with the power buttons and the dvd eject button somewhere on my peripherals, either the moniter or the keyboard. The keyboard is wireless tho, so that kinda defeats the purpose of its being wireless if its connected for the command junk. If i put it on my moniter, ima have to mod that too...

I thinks thats about all for now. Whew!
Comments welcome, yellow uv coolant VERY welcome.

if you're trying to find yellow coolant still there is one by thermaltake or one by swiftech... my two cents

Thnx guys, you both posted to the feser coolant. I had found that one already, but it looked a little greenish. I have actually found a passable coolant taht still looks yellow, but im not on my home computer and dont have the link with me.

Update soon. The slot loading dvd-drive from ebay came

    Thnx all.

thats a nice 3d. ive never heard of 160mm fans, but wouldnt you need 4 80's and not 4 40's, if you couldnt find the 160?

Nice to see that u got some progres on your build and the 3dmodel looks realy good ,i got a question though how are u conecting the base to the sides? are u going to weld them togeter ? and regarding the mobo cant u do like i did and put it in a 45 degre angle against the back of the case or will that tube in the back get in the way?.

And finaly how do u plan to conect the acryl on top with the sides, if its writen somewhere allready i must have missed it .Oh and i allso tried to find 160mm fans with no luck sry, does it not work whit 2x92 mm ?.
    Regards.

    thnx for responding all.

Im in italy, forgot to post and say that, thats why i havent been able to post past two weeks, but its been worth it :).

    aright, the questions.

@ tapper no the sides are going to be independant. yeah it sounds retarded, but it was the easiest way i could think of. ive got to still be able to get to the board after its done, so i cant weld the sides, the top isnt big enough. the four sides are going to screw to the base with an overlay, so its all good there. As for the not in the middleness, im a believer in symmetry, so there ;). The way the coolant and the wiring is going to be done, the motherboard WIll be central to the build and i dont think my build would float my boat if it werent centered. we'll see if it works...
yeah i couldnt find and 160s either, ill still have to se what i can do...

Thanks to all for the yellow ideas, im still working on it.

See TapperSwe, there IS someone who knows the power of getting the CPU in the center of a pyramid. :D

@ Damouse - If you're curious, check his log out.

But, hey, as long as I'm here:

It's looking really good. I had an idea, but it's probably too late in your process to use them (that is, if you even like it). I wonder if you could use the spires as a passive cooling system? Route the water up and back though them all, using the sides as heat sinks? And incorporate the reservoir in one of them.

Can't wait to see the finished product!

Italy sounds very nice, i hope u had some sunny weather over there.
Thx for clearing things out by the way, and of corse we all have our own solutions and im really looking forward to see how things works out for you.

I got more then one reason for puting the mobo the way i did ,not only the exits from mobo comes out the right way it has also been a pretty big space saver since i could mount both the Dvd and hdd under the mobo,(dosent apply on your build sinse u got the dvd mounted like u have) anyway im really looking forward to some progress on this one .

    dacuste :
he,he even mounting my mobo in center would have put my cpu pretty much to the right upper corner of the case since my cpu isent centered at all on my mobo. :D

as for the 160mm fan, can't you use a 140mm or so? it will probably be the closest call to 160, and if you want you can make a small adapter to 160 from there on..
    just a tought
