Yes glue and structure-strengthening designs (e.g. slots for perpendicular pieces and triangular supports) :) The particular glue is Tensol 12 for acrylic-to-acrylic and simple epoxy resin for metal-to-acrylic :) Next week I'll be working on the aluminium exterior for a little bit of :D

So you haven't used any screws yet? That is sexy... will you be glueing the aluminum to the inside, or using screws?

    haha its ok alex...

to dubya yeah nothing has been connected with screws yet. I couldn't find a solution for holding the fans so I chose to epoxy some screws on instead :) it works just as well!

I would like to note that this project has inspired me to start work on designing the all-plastic case I've been thinking about for some time. I can't post a project log yet because I need to work on the design some more and copyright some of the strange mechanisms I've come up with but I just wanted to let you know you've inspired me to get off my but and make my dream-case a reality.

    Thanks :D

Well I guess you should right a book about this case as an inspirational story, because I just got done ordering all my parts for my SFF Acrylic case for my currently naked matx system. Don't worry, its not orange acrylic. (Clear and Blue, boring I know, but w/e) :duh: And it will have an idenity seperate from yours ;) Anyway, I will have to continue watching this case with eager anticpation before I can start mine.

Tbh I'm glad it's not orange acrylic, that's been this year's colour and it's beginning to pee me off as I'm doing one in the summer like that, but had it planned years ago! Yet projects like this are just gonna make mine seem crap :(

Dang, Nice case indeedy. Would you be able to right a How-To on bending arcylic. Your bends are so even and nice. They are symterical with whats it suppose to be symtercal with. Like the HDD rack both sides look exactly the same. Keep up the good work!

I will indeed try to write up a mod guide when I can :) Bending of acrylic is actually very easy when you have a vice :) I'm guessing a g-cramp with two pieces of wood would do just as good, but two people may be needed to fix it before the acrylic cools :D

Okay guys here's the surprise I was hoping to spring onto you all. It came to my attention that if I were to carry out my current design I would need 20 metres of 10mm square aluminium rod :| Therefore I chose another design that will go on both sides. The top shall have the same design. Which one do you guys like best?

The second one is my favourite. Just a simple design. Less is more.

I say you just leave it big, blank, and orange.
