I would like to present case NOS2 made by myself (Reanimator) and Dzidzia for 4th Polish oc&modders rally. This case is our second serious mod(first was the nos1) and is 100% handmade. The inspiration for this mod was movie "2fast 2furious" and tuned cars. So, lets begin. The case is equiped with hybrid water-gas cooling. Normally, the cpu is colled with water, but anytime you can adjust gas cooling. The cpu waterblock has additional tube that is used for liquid gas transport. When the gas evaporates, it goes to the exhaust, where its burned and it creates some serious flames. The Cpu can be cooled to subzero temperatures. Two turbines are taking care of supplying the oxygen. This turbo system is similar to NOS system used in cars' engines. The case is equiped with three speaker sets - inspire t7700, 5100 and p380. Totally - 12 speakers + 4 subwoofers. The case is enlightend with white catods. The watercooling is based on black ice pro and akasa amber fans that are used also to cool power supplies. The whole case was painted with custom Yamaha paint (100$). Awesome case, but with that NOS system, I'd be afraid I would accidently hit the gas switch and cause flames to come billowing out and set my house on fire.
12 speakers?+subs? the em alone will fry the electronics, or cause massive interferance. And if those extingiushers are dry powder you DO NOT WANN SET THEM OFF INSIDE THE CASE
no speakers didn't do the interferance, pc work's normally (even the hdd). Speakers have magnetic shield, subs are ~15-20cm from mobo, cpu and ~30cm from hdd.
YOU TWO are as crazy as f*$%^.....but how boy its cool!! great mod. Its great to see that there are some people who enjoy pushing the boundries of normal modding!! Amazing!!
FOR EVERYONES INFORMATION The powder in the extinguishers will Eat the copper/aluminium and many other metails/chemicals in a pc however a co2 will leave condensation so idealy a co2 is better but ALWAYS UNPLUG THE PC FROM THE WALL BEFORE USING AND WATE 24 HRS BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO POWER BACK UP.
Wow, pretty amazing mod, never seen one with flames actually coming out and the 3rd to last picture in the first post looks so cool! One of the most unique mods ever, a job well done! AJB2K3, if the computer works, it works, if it blows up, oh well, that's just an even bigger NOS display then
Yeah it will.. My mate threw a homemade smokebomb into my crappy server at a lan. It caught fire and stuff, and of course we put it out (Duh? Really?). Took us a minute or two to put it our, but we could start it again about 5 minutes later. Tho that was a Intel Celeron, so I guess it's different.. (It still works!)
But maybe you can save some bits (hard drives, cpu etc) I love it, fire = teh win . And think about the 1000's of modders trying to get thier computer as cool as possible
Surely the CPU is the part most likely to be damaged, having a big slab of heatsink strapped to it and all. Im sure Heatsinks work in reverse too. I know this one is watercooled, but in general. Awesome mod though, totally unique.
like i told you at metku.net you should bring that to a big lanparty and just turn on the flamethrower damn evrybody would be scared, you should really try it but yes the case is beautiful also the cooling system is awesome
