http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?p=1102196 discussion thread Whats going on BT crew? Specs of the computer: Slow as hell Real specs: P2 333mhz 50-90mb ram or some **** 8x CDrom 6gb harddrive Its current role was to be a basic Filesharing/web host but if this case turns out 110 percent better than i had inteded, it might just find a new home next to the Home Theater gear. And here are the pics... Her first breath of life. its that ugly ******* on the left. All the goodies i have to play with. Assortment of Wires, fuse panels, fans, all sorts of **** what i was originally planning to do. Was going to be a Tower with a vertical slot optical drive, or a window... Also a nice shot of the 120mm blowhole Integration of 2 PSUs for no reason, just cause i can. Would have opted for wire grill but lack of cash so i took some allum and milled some 1/2" bores. Case handles compliments of a high school science lab. To be continued later...
Those previous pics were from a year ago when i left off with this project. I have decided that it wont be a tower anymore but will be a HTPC/ rackmount style case. It is still going to be a File Server/web server of some sort. if it turns out good, ill move in my good HT components in. Second half of the update today... Yer lookin at the front Okay, sooooo where the F are the drives? Right inside. I figure if i need to use the cdrom, its prbbly because i fawked something and ill need to pull it out anyway. For general purposes, i would normally VNC into it. Sanded it with a finish that is close A/V gear brushed metal. Yay random orbit sanders! there she sits in her half-arsed mounted glory. Till next time!
