so this is the begining..the old desktop ATX case, bought for the equivalent of 10$ at a store with used computer parts.

    from the front side..

    without any plastic pieces,just skeleton..

I wanted to tune-up the back plate, so i use angle grinder (i suppose it's good translation:confused:) with cutting wheel in it to make a window:

then as you can see,i made some soldering of the holes, that there were.

i have to say something about hardware, that is planned to be inside this monster. because i have some old PC parts at home,i decided to use them. (father wanted to buy a DVD player, but using spare parts, the PC will be better and cheaper) so this computer will be low-end as well. the parts that i have at home (and they're already installed) are:
    gigabyte 865 full atx motherboard
    P4 2,8 GHz CPU (Prescott:duh:)
    Geforce FX5600 128MB graphic card
    and some DDR I memories
really weak, heating configuration to build HTPC.:waah: but cost is cost and they were at home for nothing...
So the aim was to build HTPC,quiet and able to cool that prescott stuff... nothing, except HDD and DVD-RW drive was buy as new, all others were used parts.
so this is the explanation of cooling stuff inside and the low-cost design.

i have this cooler master cooler for a good price, so here it is:
but there isn't the right kit to use it with intel s775:wallbash:
well,i had one stock cooler for intel, that was never used..so i cut it and then i have to file the hole from 32 mm diameter to 40:jawdrop:
so this was the right way and after spraying the piese of metal and polishing the cooler base, this was the product:
after adding some rubber silentblocks and AC 9L fan:
and i had to make a plastic backplate for this cooler, using screws to attach it to MB.
so hang on for more photos,guys...

the second thing a did was to modify the power supply..i don't like that in almost every power supplies fan is blowing inside it perpendicularly to the output mesh.so i decided to modify the supply tu use another fan (thermaltake silent wheel) and to attach it non-perpendicular..so watch the pictures, the tuning is evident...
    all parts that i used:

it's good to have the cabels labeled to know which one is from which place:
    so,let's go and finish it:
welded sides to the top of this tin, using MIG welding machine
    [IMG]
    with attached fan on it:
detail of cable, sorry for badly focused pisture:rolleyes:
    so there it is:

so this was the supply mod. and now, the backplate as well..do you remember the window i cut out? so the product is here:
i used Cu wires and soldered them parallel to each other to make a grill.after spraying up with black color, this is it...
and DVD bay - i have to cut out a piece of metal which was in collision with CPU cooler:
then i cut the pieces which should ¨have been for mounting HDD bay, cause i mount HDD into 5.25 position so i throw that HDD bay away and get rid of that mounting pieces on the DVD bay:
necessary silentblocks (i use them everywhere is needed...)
so that's it for today, post me your comments and critics of course. i have another maybe 20 pictures of case on my HDD and nowadays i'm working on the front panel of this case.
