Well, As usual I wasted alot of money yesterday.

Baught some more shower hose and some other misc parts.

Iv had an idea for awhile now to cover the IDE cable in some showerhose, at least the IDE cable going to the DVD Drive:

I baught an adapter to secure the hose,to keep the look of a screwed end. I abused it a bit with a jigsaw and dremel Because I was planning to mount it right next to the back of the DVD Drive but that would complicate things with my placement for the fan:

That cable will not be used.

Also, Ive had this part done for awhile now. I cut a few holes in the wire container for the ATX plug and the 12v conector:

Decided to use the same grommet fixture as G-Gnome:

I also started work on the back panel this morning, but all it is right now is a 10in tall piece of aluminum with two holes in it so I wont bother wasting your time with a pic of it. I have elaborate plans for it.

Also, a ton of thanks to Cold Dog and Mashie for suggesting the Primer/Filler spray paint.

I picked some up yesterday and sprayed the shell of the case down with it today. And I really must say it turned out WAY BETTER THAN I EXPECTED.

Angle shot, The front emblem is GONE:

The Right side, with NO IMPERFECTIONS:

The back part, which I was most worried about turned OUT FANTASTIC:

    The left side:

The left sides imperfection, A crack which shows through. Easy fix:
Had to up the quality on this image to get the crack to show, look closely.

Im not yet ready to primer the base and fins. But soon. Tomarrow maybe.

Anyone have any experience with color coating duplicolor primer with rustoleum? I picked up some rustoleum black night metallic paint was hoping to use it on the case.

    Thats it for now.

Wow, that's looking good m8 :thumb:

So you painting the entire thing metalic black, or are you still wanting to go two-tone? Black and a metalic silver would look sweet

One question: are the internals going to even be visible? It seems to me that if no one is going to be looking inside it, why bother with such complex (and expencive) sleeving/wiremanagment

Just my $0.02, keep up the good work :thumb:

    More disaster.

I found that the crack that was along the side wasnt repairable because theres still alot of flex in the shell of the case. Also, thers another crack on ther other side.

Im gonna pick up a paint brush tomarrow morning and then proceed to applie ALOT of fiberglass to the shell. Hopefully this will fix my problem and I can just apply some Spot putty to the areas.

Try bolting or JBWelding brass [ or any other material ] leftovers onto the weak areas for support.

That bites man, what about some lengths of steel rod on the inside of the curve [ inside the casing ], drenched in fiberglass?
