Thanks for the support guys, but the fact is that I have a math exam tomorrow and loads of other non-modding related stuff going on right now, so there isn't going to be an update in a while. Hopefully I can work on it during the weekend and bring you an update then also. I do have the next part almost ready, but it's not so ready that I could show it to you yet :hehe:

Keep checking back, the update will come eventually...

Aww.. Too bad. Well, good luck on the math exam then!

Hopefully the next dose of this Agent Orange will soothe our addicted senses.

Hey guys, the test has passed and so did I :hehe:

I've been working on the monster for the past three days, but always some minor thing has kept me from updating. It's now in a point where I have to finish one thing to even fit the other in, so it's slow work. I'll probably have an update for you in a couple of days if not tomorrow, we'll see...

    Bare with me...

    Sidepanels...

    Update time!

I surprised even myself and was able to update today...on with it :D

This is just a part of work I've done this week, but next update is going to be tomorrow or maybe during the weekend depending on if I can get the parts ready and brought here to be photographed.

From the beginning it was clear to me that Monster would have a window, but I wanted to do something different with it. Lots of cases have windows these days, but I went one step further :hehe: You'll see...

With Lian Li V-series cases there is one quite obvious way to make a window, I went for it, but that's hopefully the only obvious thing about it, lol.

These first photos are really old, around the time when I started this mod, so they are not that good, bare with them...

Here is the left sidepanel masked, the rest is history with this one, this is the only pic I have of it before the cutting.

I also wanted to do something with the right sidepanel...

I removed the brackets from underneath it so that I could commence the drilling.

And as you can see I had to change my plans quite suddenly :hehe:

All those holes were threaded to M4, what could that possibly mean...hmm...

Now we have to take a bit of a leap through time because I ran out of progress pics, lol. Well the rest is what matters, so let's just move on, shall we?

Here you can see the "obvious" way to make a window for the V-series. Also you can see that the "window" isn't behind the sidepanel, but it's sitting on top of it...

Here's the right one and in the second pic it's with our friend, the Orange Fan :D

Here's why I threaded the holes, minimal fuss because I don't have to use nuts on the other side.

And from the other side they look like this, countersunk bolts in action :worried:

This was a really hard pic to take and it still doesn't show how the edge is in real life. You'll just have to take my word for it when I tell you that they are polished :D

Best for last don't you agree...

    Yeah

That's the mirror finish, not to shinny and not to dark.
Very nice mod, espesially the acrylic. :jawdrop:

Looks great! Nice idea. And that also answers the question about what your modding corner looks like. Btw, what camera is that?

wow, that looks really good. you have the windows, but no sharp edge to break up the smooth lines of the case. great job :thumb:

Thanks for the comments guys, I thought you might like this :thumb:

    @Javerh

It is my apartment in the pics, not my workspace. I'll take some photos of the workspace probably next week, though it's nothing special :hehe: And the camera is Fuji FinePix S5600, can be found from the first page also...

    @N.A.N.O

It's a bit different in real life, in the pics you can't see the aluminum finish too well, but it's clearly visible when you look at it. In the first finished window pic there's a trace of the grain visible, but you have to look pretty carefully. I tried to photograph it, but I didn't get it to come out. Well it's still shiny as h*** :D

    Keep those comments rolling...
