Nooooooo, I like the acrylic look on blocks. Maybe just make a pattern from aluminum, like a fancy X or something to keep some of the acrylic exposed.....but it's your rig and it looks fantastic so far, so I'm sure whichever you choose, it'll look great. Again, super job!

Ok I designed the aluminum cover for the block:

The center will be cut out for the fittings to pass through. I will probably spray it metallic red. The aluminum is 2mm thick. Cutout will be done some other day, its too late to do it now.

    Edit: And done...

The copper base is from a Dangerden TDX block, so not quite cheap.

At first it seems a bit too fat, but compared to the Dominator Airflow next to it it will look small ;)

Yeah! I love the design and the excellent finnish!! I's so nice to see someone with mad skills and good taste create something beautifull! I also like that you dont settle for anything that doesn't look 100% sweet! 8D

Btw, reading this excellent log I got an idea.. what about painting the tips of the chipset cooler on the motherboard black. Not sure what it would look like, but I'm thinking it might accentuate the black on red color theeme... what do you think?

Keep up the great work! *subscribed*

Congratulations and good luck on the MoM contest!

Design studies and binge drinking always seem to go hand-in-hand.:hehe: (remembering the beat up cars in the parking lot...) -Maybe It's just part of university life in general.

Sorry guys, simply put, there are three reasons for not working on the mod: no money, no right mood and most of all: no time. I've been very very busy with school and work lately, often having days from 7 AM till 7 PM. After that I don't really feel like doing anything anymore.
Also, I'm planning on a CM Cosmos mod. That mod will get higher priority as I want to have it finished before the Gameplay (large gaming event). You will soon find out why ;)

Ok I'm back on the project again. Although my Cosmos mod isn't entirely finished yet I'm leaving it for the time being to focus on Orion.
I've decided to go a bit more extreme on the watercooling with a dual loop system. Here's what I had in mind:

    2 pumps: Hydor L20
    CPU block: custom DD TDX
    VGA block: AquaComputer AquagratiX 1800/1900
2 radiators: Black Ice Xtreme 1, Black Ice Pro 2
    2 reservoirs: AquaComputer Aquatube black
    Tubing: Tygon black 11/8mm (OD/ID)

Please let me know what you think. Will this loop work?
Oh and I forgot to include the drainage system in the picture, it will go between the pumps and the waterblocks.
