Lol. I wasn't sure what to expect with this bunch.

Yeah, it was a work in process for some time.

Any colors on the LCD would be pretty simple. I'll likely just stick to blacks, grays, blues, or anything that would display clearly. The LCD will be well lit however. I've got quite a few feet of flexible white LED light strips that will light it and the interior of the case up.

Bit-tech.net - Proving that even nerds can be dogs. My advice to the would-be romeos out there is imagine what tools Craig has to work with if you step out of line.

Craig, you should have known better - remember the Rogue thread :) That said, I just hope she doesn't get angry from posting her weight ;)

I am really quite curious just how much stress that material can take... if you could add your entire family having a picnic on top of it in the next post, I think we would all love to see it...

There's a line from the movie 'Clueless' that seems appropriate here... "Anything happens to my daughter, I got a .45 and a shovel, I doubt anybody would miss you." :D

She's not that concerned about her weight. She's completely normal, and doesn't have any obsessions about it one way or another. Maybe in a few years though.

Lol, You guys are hard to please! I'm not sure it could handle the whole family. It would have a breaking point, and I'm not all that interested in finding it. I think I would literally cry at this point. I've put too much work in to it. :waah:

It was just my way of saying that I am convinced of the structural integrity of your work.

    Don't cry man.

I am also slightly upset that you stole my idea (without knowing it). I was considering standing on Nomad, but now that just seems like one-ups-man-ship (that and I am over double your daughter's weight).

Lol, no worries bro. The only tears here will be from joy once this thing is completed. It's a little crazy to think that I've barely scratched the surface.

Well, speaking of Nomad, where are the updates man! :D

Mass production will be out of the question, however, you may be able to sell a few "Limited Editions" via a place like Mountainmods, or mnpctech or perhaps ASUS considering they seem to be able to find insane people to buy their stuff (2x GTX 480 on this massive card?!?!?! seriously, who would buy that????!?!?).

Damn, craig, that is one tough case. How much does it weigh total, and compared to aluminum?

How much do you think someone would want to pay? Even if someone wanted one, they'd still be quite costly. You never know though. We'll see what kind of response it gets once done.

    Thanks skullen!

Thanks bro. I didn't have a scale, but the closest thing I could find in comparable weight was a banana. So yes, the case weighs as much as a banana. It's most definitely lighter than aluminum.

    Run, little girl!!!!

I was going to say you needed a proper Texas manatee to test the case's strength properly. (D*mn thread moves too fast...:grr:)

I have to say this is looking mint and is inspiring me to create my own scratch build.

I have only just got back into desktop PC's after using laptops for the last 5 years and have to say I am amazed at the different parts, watercooling and mods that can be created.....

    Very nice work

When i asked you to test the strength i was thinking of a pile of books or so, but this is much preferable! :thumb:
You have any older daughters too for the next test so i don't have to feel so guilty for finding her attractive? ;)

Oh, and don't worry about Mankz, he's only dangerous online, in real life he's a harmless ginger :p

Keep going, i'm liking the progress!

This is too funny. My 13 year old daughter likes my modding hobby, but would probably think I'm nuts if I asked her to stand on a computer case for a picture. That really is very impressive. The farthest I've gone is to have her hold some wires for a pic for my Zenith radio scratch build.

Lol. The only place to see manatee's around here is the local Walmart... :worried::hehe:

    Thanks man!

If you're just getting back into the desktop game after 5 years, things have no doubt changed a lot. Things move pretty quickly, but we all benefit. Spend enough time here on bit-tech, and you'll get caught up in short order. :D

Thanks Joost. Lol, I did mention it would take a lot of books.

She's my oldest, so I can't help you there, and I doubt I could get the wife to stand on anything for me. Unlike my daughter, she would actually question what the hell I was doing. Lol.

She would do most anything if I asked her too. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. :D
