Instead of masking off 56 holes with tape and cutting them with exacto knife, to save time we made a sheet of 3/8" circle vinyl appliques last night to cover the cross drill holes before painting the top carry handle

 

Great idea Bill! I would have probably cut the circles right on my roll of masking tape, but this is MUCH cleaner, and doesn't ruin the entire roll of tape lol.

I got the Matte Black finish for the top carry handle done today.

I really like the contrast of aluminum with Matte Black.

 

Handle looks saweeeeet Bill. Nice idea with keeping the holes silver, it is an excellent piece of detail.

Coming together great Bill. The top handle is real aluminum goodness. The pistol trigger would have been great to function as some sort of power switch, turn on lazer light sight maybe. Just a stray thought.
Love the video card shroud. Nice that attention to detail isn't always about what shows most.
I get satisfaction just knowing something looks good even when others will never see it.
Looks to me like you're having fun with this one, sure sign of art and execution coming together the way it should.

 

Love the handle but I personally think it would've been even more awesome if you could've just covered the angled bits and painted the insides of the holes as well if you get what I mean.

Anyways... rep++ for pure awesomeness and a gun.

Exactly! I love walking around something like a custom car for example, and finding details everyone else missed. As if the builder hid some details just for me to find later

No, it's fitted snug enuf without scratching the barrel.


Things are in limbo for the Wolfenstein PC until I get some other customer commitments finished. It sounded like Razer wanted to come onboard and sponser us with their Lycosa keyboard and new Mamba Mouse, but I haven't any update on those yet.
