    Nice lighting-effect. Looks as though the case is "floating"..
    BUt, if you polish the edge of your acrylic the light will (should) become more uniform.
    You know the drill. Same as polishing Alu:
    Lots of sanding (dry then wet) then polishing. Novus-polish is very good (aka heavy then fine scratch remover).
    Good-stuff, Dark.. You are off to a excellent start..

    I absolutely LOVE that dark! I have one question, is it still gonna be an HTPC?

    Lot's of comments, it's like christmas :hehe:

    Thanks to all, as I always say, input is much appreciated.

    @elliod

    Yes, there's going to be at least 2 switches to control the lighting.

    @Javerh

    As always, that's going to be a "surprise", darkened likes to keep people in the dark :hehe:

    @modsquad and jokkos

    As I said earlier, the bottom plate is far from being ready, but for the polishing issue, wouldn't it diffuse the light better if the edges were sanded say with 600grit?

    And also, this Novus must be good stuff, but I've learned to cut some corners when polishing acrylic, same as I do with alu, no wetsanding for me anymore :thumb:

    The way I polish acrylic (if not flame polishing) is that I sand the edges down with 240grit dry paper so that they are smooth (no cutting marks etc.) and then attach the cloth wheel to the drillpress and use the Wolfcraft polishing compound (blue bar of soap :D) with say 1800 rpm. Believe me, works wonders and fast + it doesn't scratch the surface of the acrylic. Try it, you might be surprised.

    @Mother-Gooser

    Yes, it will be it's destiny...who said that :worried:

    I have a couple of nights work ahead, so no updates for a while (unless I can get my arse out of bed in time :hehe:).

    Janne signing off...

    A frosted edge will give a more diffuse light than a clear edge. Nice start to the project, looking forward to more.

    Unfortunately the same thing applies here than it does in the OM thread, I'm swamped with schoolwork at the moment, but I'll try to put up an update ASAP here as well.

    @Heero195 and calib3r

    There will be on/off switches...
