yeah i do remember seeing the torch. Yeah now you say that it was only with the chloroform (i remember now). (sorry) How does flaming polished acrylic withstand drilling holes in it? or should I leave the flame polishing to absolute last if i decide to do it?
I first made all the holes and stuff, then polished it, so I don’t know if it can withstand but I think so. But why polish and then drill if u make scratches u have to polish it again anyway so I’d say save it for last.
Hands down the sweetest plexi mod I've seen to date. Those sanded/polished pieces are like... just wow. Kinda IMac-ish but that's forgiveable Any tips for sanding/polishing? Or did you do that with the torch too? Also, you mentioned cracking. If you heat the plexi will it crack for sure or just when put under pressure or under some other circumstances?
Mac displays The curved plexi w/ the 2 legs... just... looks kinda similar? Kinda? Not as the hdd rack but as the other MB mount you did. I did read the thread. I thought most people used novus to polish, not blue flames. The other thread someone linked to basically said don't flame polish, because it will crack plexi if you use solvent.
you know you are MY plexi guru right? thanks for the advice and other suport to quote a beer commercial (my faorite ones) - "i don`t know why they say it`s probably the best plexi project in the world, it`s definitely the best plexi project in the world". u got the knowledge!
??? I think u mean a final post. Well, ill post it when I wrote a nice little story over it for a Dutch site
