One to power a lazer, the other to power the system that'd aim it. ;)

Then he'd mount it on an electric eel.

Truly fantastic.:D I was wondering why you shopped out the faceplate, now I know.

You need a drag-line for your roof snow.

More like a plasma powered donkey.

    Thanks Craig!

Thanks :) Yeah that'd certainly be a challenge to do at home :p Though I've recently gotten hold of some solid carbide radius end-mills for making a big alu-relief relix. If that's not cheesecake I don't know what is

Nah not really, just need someone else to do it for me. That way I can just watch and do what I'm best at, which is to annoy people.

    :)

Nice work. Like you're (usual) "bombproof" design. That will last you a decade or two, well until you get tired of it and build something larger :dremel:

    (S) Get upp hoppet helt om SweC's modding-del eller? :worried:  (/S)

Thanks :) Yeah it's not exactly flimsy, but then I'm easily bored. I'll give it three months.

I stort sett, mest pga att swec nuförtiden verkar vara befolkat av bittra besserwissrar, men även pga att jag inte gillar att skriva två loggar på olika ställen. Jag valde helt enkelt stället där jag trivs bäst.

Now, enough with the swedish jibberish. Does anyone here know where I can get a Suhner AW-FSE 1500 spindle motor? (Anywhere but cnc-plus obviously, I'm not made of money :p) The Kress 1050FME I've got now just revs too high and with too little torque for my liking.

First off, a huge thanks to everyone who voted for me in MotM, it's a huge motivation knowing that people like what I'm doing! Just awesome.

That said I haven't got that much to offer in terms of progress. I have been working on the case a lot the last couple of days, but it's just been a ton if sanding and grinding, which doesn't make for good project log material. But anyways...

I've fixed the upper/lower pieces of the external shell in place:

I've also been testfitting the front, and filed down the excess material around the inner front-plate (took me the better part of a day).

And now I have to spend another day doing the same thing to the back panel :wallbash: I've only had time to make the rough cuts on the back so far, but it'll get done eventually.

    That's it for now :)

Out of all your fine mods this is easily my favorite. Maybe the less cluttered theme fits my taste better or something (would make sense for a simple person to like a bit more simple theme? ;D ).

Congratulations for the MOTM! Good hearing you're making progress. You have given me the modders-itch. To bad there's nothing to mod on here. Well, there is, but i don't think the captain would be very happy.:dremel::duh::worried::nono::waah:

The front grille is really something. Works very good with the case's style.
Have you mentioned how you'll coat this monster?

    Thanks all!

vils: I'm thinking something in terms of satin black, but nothing is decided really. I do know I don't want anything too shiny as it won't fit the industrial-tech theme.

For an industrial look I think the colour Combatus used in his WarpCore and the one I used on my Facit are the way to go. Maybe even a bit closer to black, but I belive that just black would get... eh just to compact/dense. Some structure and light reflection are necessary to see the intricate structure of your case.

Nice to see some more work from you Sleepstreamer! I know what you mean about sweckockers, it was good back in the days, nowdays the real modding is almost completely gone. :/

Don't you think gunmetal grey could be a nice color? I know it's a "standard" question in builds like this, but do you know how much it weighs? :D

I can't stop thinking of the old "Weapon of Mass Destruction" mod when i see this, but this somehow look a lot more high-tech and cooler. =)

Keep up the good work! We sweedes will continue to cheer you on! GÅ GÅ GÅ!

Possibly, though I've also thought about simply sandblasting the entire case and putting some clearcoat on it.

Swecockers is a bit harsh don't you think? But yeah, it's pretty much dead in terms of modding.

And it deserves a standard answer - I have no idea :duh: Maybe I should go and actually weigh it for once.

I'm very glad to hear that since the WMD-mod is one of my absolute favorites, I still check back on it once in a while for some inspiration.

Thanks! Yep I'll try to keep the pace up, hope you enjoy the build and also, welcome to Bit-Tech!

Sandblasting would look great, another idea is "small steel ball" blasting. The result can be amazing.
