Man, a lesson in excess, opulence, beautiful art, and detailed thought here! Great work!
Very cool.. Your purchasing parts and I am purchasing groceries, I feel a bit depressed reading your PL. I could shoot/post pictures of frozen pizza's, but your SSD's are much more fun to look at.
Can you share your "out of pocket" expense for this machine with us?.. My guess is about (perhaps over) $10,000US..
MS (I am eating one of those frozen-pizza's as we speak)..
Thanks a lot yeknom
Thanks modsquad, it'll be about 15k when it's done.
I think those GPU covers are terrific! Close up, far away, any way!
But ( there's always a "but") They would look even better if they
extended over the edge (where possible) on the two most visible
sides IMHO. Though I don't know how this would be done.
you sir, have way to much money !
but that's just great
btw. The gpu covers looks great !
Absolutely amaaazing mod btw.
+2 agreed too. Try to make them bend over the edges so that we only can see pure delicious copper and then the waterblocks.. Yummi
Nice work, can't emphasize that enough, splendid, envious-provoking and salivaproducing stuff!
what a load of money put into a pc!
hope you profit from this
All ready has - look at all the learning. Knowledge gained cannot be removed.
@oldnewby & murtoz & Frido - Thanks guys, I have a couple ideas to finish off these additions. But I wont be making new ones to hang over the edges - I do agree with you though, just wish I had thought of that before.
@Dark~3nergy - It's a means to an end... and I have plans for this project and the credibility that will come with it.
@Htr-Labs - Like I mentioned before, I wont be adding the audio until I move back to Vancouver (next april) - the cash will be flowing again by then for all the toys that I desire.
@turboshifter - I have already - and in the next year you'll see.
@jhanlon303 - I couldn't agree more... but I have some other plans to go with it.
You do need to keep us posted on how much it weighs! H2O and CU are not light. I know it's early but got a rough weight now?
Bet you can't top mine though...
LMK if you need a RAID card suggestion, Jesse. I've got a bit of knowledge in that area.
You guys should see what's going in my next build though... 100 drive support anyone?
Help me find a 4-8channel RAID controller
Replied in the thread.
When I unveil my stuff, even though it's old-school it'll be enough to drop some jaws...
Lol I call people broseph...
That sounds very very tempting... I don't have any decent cans (and my ATH-EC7's certainly don't count...lol). But I recently -a few months ago- blew my audio budget on a pair of Paradigm Signature Series S4 speakers, a Yamaha A-S2000 amp, and a Yamaha CD-S2000 CD/SACD player - I got them at cost but I still don't have the coin right now. That said - I really want to get a headphone amp (compatible with my MD player) and some cans.
