The still is an epic thread derailment Jesse. Of all the crazy things I expected to see in this thread, this certainly wasn't one of them! :D

You know this project has almost everything in it. Maybe Langer needs to toss in some solar panels, a little wind tubine, etc. What did I miss he hasn't thought of yet?

Could one overclock a cpu to the extent that it could make water boil? Then you could truly integrate the still into a pc! :he he:

I think my P4EE at 3.0Ghz that's going back in the DragonHolm project could probably get that hot if I OC it a pinch. It is the hotest CPU(temp wise) I ever owned. I have had it to 3.3Gz on air but it heats a lot and I left the case open and put it on the floor with a 20" box fan blowing on it.
3.6Ghz will boot but won't run XP Lite for long.

I have a 1.44GHz Athlon Thunderbird (Socket A) that runs at around 70c. The max temp is rated at 95C which is SO close!

This build can't be described in terms of awesomeness :jawdrop:

dont need to get to 100 C as alcohol boils at a much lower temp, anyway back in the day OC dual xeons would be screaming along at 98 degree's thermal shut off was 120! that was the best bit about buying a xeon, there designed to work in super hot conditions at full load.
