That's just what you want us to think.
Who is this 'We' you speak of?
The still is an epic thread derailment Jesse. Of all the crazy things I expected to see in this thread, this certainly wasn't one of them!
he lives in Virginia, that might narrow the question down a little...
You know this project has almost everything in it. Maybe Langer needs to toss in some solar panels, a little wind tubine, etc. What did I miss he hasn't thought of yet?
Tnx a lot for not planning to water cooling the scsi card, Langer, now my wife has loose the bet, so she have to pay a drink to me
Now I go to drink a free Negroni, I love free drink (and I love to win this kind of bet)!
if only you bet on arduinos...
Could one overclock a cpu to the extent that it could make water boil? Then you could truly integrate the still into a pc! :he he:
water boils at 100C, IRC. CPU's cant run that hot.
hmm...what if we make it run that hot??? what is to happen then??? whoever has a pentium lying around...please try to overclock it to 100C and see what happens...we are all waiting eagerly for the results...
I think my P4EE at 3.0Ghz that's going back in the DragonHolm project could probably get that hot if I OC it a pinch. It is the hotest CPU(temp wise) I ever owned. I have had it to 3.3Gz on air but it heats a lot and I left the case open and put it on the floor with a 20" box fan blowing on it.
3.6Ghz will boot but won't run XP Lite for long.
I have a 1.44GHz Athlon Thunderbird (Socket A) that runs at around 70c. The max temp is rated at 95C which is SO close!
This build can't be described in terms of awesomeness
dont need to get to 100 C as alcohol boils at a much lower temp, anyway back in the day OC dual xeons would be screaming along at 98 degree's thermal shut off was 120! that was the best bit about buying a xeon, there designed to work in super hot conditions at full load.
78C is the boiling point of ethanol so could be done
thats lower than the gpu temp of my lappy
OMG I laughed so hard my wife gave me a dirty look 'cause she can't hear the TV. Thanks for making my night
Run the still at a-bit-less-than-atmospheric-pressure
no update or new pics?
my life has become so drool-less and bleak
lest see this munster progress into a full blown MONSTER!
