Well not all of it, just the copper parts will get the regular resetter style Bling Bling hehe Yea I kinda noticed the disk wear down with a incredible rate, however im getting quite in love with those little figure saws \o/ it goes fast and leaves a nice clean cut. Ow and my hand are still fine (for the moment ) I just finished the second layer of slots.
Hi instead of filing everthing by hand, you could make a template (with wood) and use the template to dremel along. This would be straighter and neater.
Right, so after another hour or so , the second layer of slots it cut (ouch my back ) And no I dint do my hear Zaagu zaagu wiede wiede wage resetter kwam thuis om een boterham te vrage……. <-- Dutch song. And to make all that sawing a little easier im using some drilling / tapping oil. A modders best friend. Closeup of the figure saws, strangely it says for “wood and plastic” on the package but it works fine on aluminium After cutting. And finished, here and there a little error but hey nobody’s perfect. It even fits the radiator
Bit to late m8 its done already, plus i dont want to cut the same stuff twice , and it looks pretty straight to me
OMG, you used a wood/plastic saw to do aluminium? Realy, I hope you didnt breathed the dust, you migth die of it.....
I dont think 5 is too many blades at all... Looking at the fact that they're not supposed to be used for metal
Yeeey I removed the first few bits of aluminium Closeup. These larger areas I cut with the jigsaw, speeds up the process a little bit. Filing everything straight. And the end result, although the photo is a bit vague.
zaguh en hakkuh, wat een geluid!! Anyway, doing a good job Resetter! Still going to cut out a bit more from the panel?
lookin great. my cube ( http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=54350&page=1&pp=20 ) and you cube are less than a 1/4 inch different in size lol. i'll be keeping an eye on this thread, amazing work on the slots, i would hate to do that by hand.
Update time !! Maybe some people questioned them selves what are those 3 holes in each corner for?, well so I could get in with a small figure saw Anyway, I started modding with the nice warm sun on my back \o/ I just luuuuuve spring I finalized the rest of the top window. Fist using the jigsaw roughly going next to the line. The corners with the figure saw All done, now the filing starts all that manual labour but hey I can say I made the case with my own hands, blood, sweat (a lot), and tears (for the times I busted my knuckles on the workmate ) But the end result is worth it Closeup of the fan screw hole.
That looks so sweet Ain't aluminium a great material to work with Modding my precious Lian Li PC7 now and all the cuts are made by hand bit off topic though.. Love the case, keep up the good work!
