Update, I’ve been busy with the powerbutton Also looks nifty as a gasoline thingy for my Nissan micra This is going to be the current layout of the “control panels”. Im gonna add a 20 led hdd vu meter later on. I fiddled around with some sandpaper, but the achieved effect wasn’t that I wanted, it dint look nice. But then I saw a metal brush lying around, when I used that I achieved the required effect, its perfect, a genuine brushed aluminium look.
that brushed aluminium looks sweet as! nice work on the case aswell i quite like the idea of a cube pc lots of room inside!
is there any possibility of you explaining how you brushed the aluminum in more detail... maybe a guide? sorry if i sound dumb but i just tried to brush some aluminum myself and it looks terrible
Erm cuz of flash and the aluminium residue, plus I live in teh Netherlands AKA little sunshine But I kinda am like a zombie. I got proof
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeey a new update it took some while cause I was busy with some other things, and I had a LAN party, but I’m back again moddin hard as ever . I added the reinforcements in the case, it still needed some 90degree angles in each of the 4 corners. So for the first time I actually got the whole case completely together, and damn what a word that is, drawing stuff, saw it to the right size, draw stuff again, whacking in some centerpoints, drill the whole shebang, tap in some thread, and putting it all back together. Sheeeeees the modders live is a hard one but miracle about miracle its even fits the first time Obviously theirs going to be the necessary electronics, and because I interested myself in that a few years ago, it kinda hit the nail on the head. I want to make a baybus I haven’t seen in any casemod yet, I want a switch free one, operated by touch, so I’ making a touch sensor switch, I got funky with EAGLE and made me a PCB. The headover sheet with the design printed on it, ready to be made. I use a PCB card with a photographic layer, so I need to expose it to some UV-A light and then develop it. I use an old face colorthingytogetbrown, it contains 4 75watt UV-A TL tubes, im exposing then to the UV-A light for approximately 2,5 minutes. And etched it, I’m using a “cold” etch bath it contains 100ml of water, 300ml of hydrochloric acid 10%, and about 100ml hydrogen peroxide 30%, and we have one nice chemical brew, but it etches perfectly and fast. And that’s how its looks after being etched I drilled the holes with a 0.8 and 1mm drill in my dremel. And because I wanted something clearly of myself on the PCB, I just had to add a smiley and the word w00t on it 8: =]. I like to say w00t w00t s bit
