OMFG!!!! Absolutely amazing. I love it. You are doing a DAMNED good job on this. The aluminum looks great. I love the pcb. Are you using clear plexi or colored? Another thing, this pic: It looks like Pinhead's(from Hellraiser) Computer!!!!
I just made them , I read a lot of material on etching and making PCB's, and after some trial and error I got it right, jus try out for yourself Clear plexiglas, btw Hellraiser PWNZ !
Hell yeah. Was watching Bloodline a couple days ago. /on topic As far as making your pcb's, how much did you have to spend on equip. and supplies? could you make any of the stuff yourself, or do you have to buy it? I've been thinking alot about doing this myself lately for some upcoming projects.
Well now, if u can get hold of a face tanner (UV-A) some clear headover sheets, an ink/laser printer, some chemicals, and some photo sensitive copper boards. Its not so expensive.
And time for another update I’ve brushed some aluminium parts who where finished, and gave it a little lacquer coating. The true effect is hard to photograph due the layer lacques, but it looks damn good IRL :8 I alsow made a small piece of the “removeable mobo tray”. If u cant see wounds, scroll down a bit! The inevitable had to happen sometime, I’m pretty careful with my work, but whilst modding a “tray rails” for the mobo tray, I kinda slipped and the new metal saw went right into my thumb :x !!!! obviously I cursed a lot according to my mother And what’s the “natural” response PIX !! As long if i dont put any pressure on my thumb it doesn’t hurt so ill just take it easy with my left hand Right enough rotten.resetter.com And I got working on some other PCB’s, I’ve made some HDD vu meter prints, here is the LED bar, it will contain 20 LED’s @ 3000 mcd And finished the first part of the baybus.
Looks great , I've been trying the brushing aluminium trick out over the last few weeks and the metal brush is the best , followed in a close second by wire wool.
Once again, good work on the PCBs. Don't feel bad about the thumb, I was helping my Dad do some roofing work at his office, and a piece of corrugated tin decided to rip a hole through my thumb. It gashed me from the knuckle to the bottom. Hurt. Nice Eheim box, by the way. Cardboard makes a great modding station doesn't it?
The cube is getting a watercooling, obviously you’ll need a water pump, and since its part of the system I think it should be seen to. But the standard black/grey won’t do it Time for some paint \o/ Check out the finish on that little part its the “feet” of the pump. It took some layers of lacquer and spray paint, but the end result is über. I would like to thank my sponsor http://www.ct-systemen.nl for the supplyed Eheim 1048 pump.
looks very nice. keep on going. Little question aren't you afraid some of the paint will stay inside and come in in your water or blok your pump from doing it's job. Btw how do you get people (shops) to sponsor you, do they and come and ask you or is it the other way around
Do you have any links or books to recomend on "how to make youre own pcb's" ? I could need a couple of pcb's keep on the good work mate!
First off, great job. I've been working on an aluminum case myself, and you just have to love the way the stuff looks. As for your thumb, well, ouch. Seems that your pretty good at painting too. Keep up the great work. By the way, where did you purchase the aluminum sheets from?
I would firstly like to state that this is in NO way meant to be offensive. But I don't like it. Tbh I was hoping for something a little more elaborate. Why just the grey/silver paint? Why not something grander?
I cannot speak for The_Resetter, but personally I think that if it was more flashy, grandieur, whatever. It would detract your attention from the rest of the case, to the one oddball thing that stands out.
