Right final pictures
Lookin good full custom case, what car did you get the rad from? looks just what I need.
how did u get the water mutli colored, looks like somthing is floating in the res, and im loving this project more and more each day
This build is sick! I'm a temp for a company called Adecco, and am currently working at a factory that has all the aluminum stuff that you have used for your mod. Shame I don't have the time, patience or money to do something like this. Guess I'm gonna have to settle with my own modded factory case. We make fuse boxes, and I've been thinking of doing a dual system kinda thing for a while, but setbacks mentioned above have kept me from doing it. Would be nice if someone else could realise my dream. Dual system, Linux for regular use and Windows for gaming and design work. 2 Motherboards, 2 screens, 1 keyboard, 1 mouse, etc... All in one box. Would be a nice idea huh?
Adecco the flex company we got those to , it would be a good idea, problem is i dont know anything about linux, plus i need some serious money then
I have 5 HDDs in my main server: one for system and four in RAID....
Great work on your cube; I really like how the res has come out... You're awakening my plexy desire
I didn't come for a while on this thread... but all I have to say is that the job you did with pump, reservoir, alu pieces ... well , everything is great!!! this is going to be awesome
Ive been busy with alot of things, and dont update to often here on bit tech, cuz of lack of reply's, so ill keep it short.
Made me some fanholes/grilles
Love the res. I can't wait to see the whole thing up and running. Those fan grills are cool as well. I can't believe you cut all that by hand. You must have forarms like Popeye.
What did you use to brush it?
A normal steel brush
This is looking 1 top job
Keep up the gd work
The Resetter, I like your mod so much - I have just read through all of the pages.
The QbiX cube is sweet. I'm definitly subscribing to this thread. I really like the brushed aluminum look - you might want to consider chroming some parts also though. I wonder how it would look if there were a few parts chromed and some brushed - might look nice!
It's the first time I have actually seen someone making PCB boards - I seriously admire your l33t skillz
You make me want to learn how to make all that, especially the electronics for the PCB.
While reading on, I was really wondering how you will do the watercooling. And yay - page 7 I see a modded Eheim Great work - makes me want to sell my Hydor L30 pump and buy the Eheim just to mod it like that! Oooh reservoir, ooh attached to the case.
Other than that...
man this is sweeter than granny's home cooking
i'm definitely stuck on this post
All I'm seeing in this pic is teh infamious red x
Sorry, someone had to say it
those 3 fans sais everything about this project...
Look like vibration absorbing pump feet to me, or at least that's what I have seen them sold for. You can get them here among other places. If you are just looking to make you mobo stand up higher you would be better off using multiple normal standoffs or just using a threaded rod and nuts though. The pump feet would get expensive if you bought enough to mount a mobo.
Resetter said before, these are anti-vibration standoffs from an Eheim pump.
ATM I'm waiting for some copper to arrive, so i can make my own hdd watercooling
