so thats that so far, i'll update as soon as possible!!

    small update!
after much deliberation and advice my customer decided on a new mobo and cpu.

    celeron d 3.06ghz
    asus p5pe-vm socket lga775.

i set it all up last night and nadda!! i started to worry until i took out the agp card, the system booted no probs!!
so at present she's running onboard graphics until he gets a new card and some new ram!
windows xp essential installed and running stable!
    next up..........

    window etch
    more case cleaning
    cable management
front led strips need looking at as they aren't lighting up anymore

    pics comming soon................
new gpu turned up at my door thismorning - Inno3D NVidia geforce6200
it's a budget card due to customers request! i'll be installing it today or tommorow, so pics soon!!

before and after (hardware)!! i still have to work on tidying the cables!!
all thats left now is the window etch, install a re-writer and clean up the panels!!

Thats discusting. The last time I had a rig like that on the inside with the heavy sticky brown dust, I nearly threw up from the smell. God I hate dust. Thank god you fixed that thing up really nice, I hope he pays you for your work.

That is a nice job, can you make a guide on how to make a computer look as good as new, you could show Kim & Aggie a thing or two about cleaning. (Hope you get that, it is a British thing, wait you are British, no need to worry.)

Last time cleaned: may 1876? Or what? :p That is rly not good. Easy to catch fire if the fan stops spinning and nothing or no one turns of the pc.

    Nice work, just one niggle...
why did you polish the heatsink base? read this. Polishing, as opposed to lapping with wet-or-dry paper on a flat surface will a)make the base uneven and b)polishing compund will leave a residue on the base, decreasing heat transfer.

Maybe you could stealth or paint the fronts of the dvd-drives etc. Anyway, nice job. Cool way of logging to, your not just showing 'what' you are doing, but 'how' your are doing it. Like it. Nice job you did at the cooler, maybe you could write a tutorial about it? Or about cleaning other parts, like the PSU.

I make no bones about it when I say that that is without question, the WORST condition I have ever seen a PC get into. Get your friend an ionizer or something!
