nice way of adding texture to your paint work but next time use 3" masking tape to reduce the lines on the top of the case and smooth it down with a roller to remove any air bubbles.

Oh and reduce the number of pics/

    Nice stab at modding though

You're honestly suggesting nobody should post in a thread, unless they have something positive (/"anything good") to say about the thread topic  :eyebrow:

If there's something wrong, then it should be pointed out... whether it's 'negative' or not?
If it helps someone improve on what they've done... it's often the 'negative' responses which help get the point across, and end up having the best [/desired?] effect

For those reasons... those who have done so in this thread, are quite right (in my opinion) to point out, that there are far too many photos on that first page!
A "56k warning" in the thread title is all well and good... but it's pretty pointless, when the images take forever to load - even for those of us on fast broadband connections :eeek: :wallbash:

What's also pointless (because they serve no useful purpose], is posting 7 or 8 photos of the same thing... just taken from a different angle
Posting less photos... and having some sort of order/structure to the ones which are posted, would be much more preferable

I'm quite sure most of the 'negative' comments are not a personal attack on CK?
I'd like to think they'd have been said to anyone who did [/does] something similar?

So don't take everything that's been said personally CK. Think of it more as "constructive criticsm", and use it to your advantage in the future

Posting Mod Logs is about getting feedback, not praise..

Example, In Khanage0's project, another forumite and I pointed out a small blemish on his project, he took our advice (which could have been considered negative) and by changing what he had done, he made his project look even better.

The world isn't full of people allways beeing nice you know..

    Happier... for sure :D

You may have heard the saying: "You can please all of the people, some of the time... some of the people, all of the time... but you'll never please all of the people, all of the time"

So yeah... as I've suggested in my post above...

Most folks would settle for that, I'm sure :thumb:

OK, I don't really want to get involved in this, but here goes:

ComputerKing: you dump a large number of pictures, of very large size, often showing exactly the same thing, out of sequence, without commentary. You tell us that you cannot be bothered to sort them in the correct sequence, or to write a description of what they are supposed to depict:
You also post some videos, again without commentary, and again they do not really show anything.

But you expect people to express interest and positive comment. What for? We are not even sure what we are looking at. You can't even be bothered to try and make it clearer. Well I'm sorry, but if you want praise, you have to put in some effort to do a good job.

I think that people have been pretty tolerant and supportive, because they recognise that you are a keen and enthusiastic modder. But enthusiasm alone is not enough. You have to be prepared to take valid criticism on board and learn from it, and to be prepared to raise the standards of your achievements if you want praise and admiration. The price of being good is that you have to be good.

But if you don't mind me saying so, I think you are a bit lazy. I think that you expect praise too quickly, for too little work. That is a shame because you undeniably have a great case there, and you always have original ideas, and I think that you could produce something really spectacular -if you are prepared to learn and make an effort.

This forum as several threads on how to write a project log, and how to take pictures for it. Read them. We all had to learn. So go back to your first post in this thread, and clean it up. Pick only six pictures, put them in the right order, make them smaller, and write something with them. Do the same with your next post. Don't worry about your English, it's OK. Just tell us what we are looking at.

lol @ the number of people complaining about the repetitive nature of the photos.... :wallbash: so how many times does ck need to hear it? 20 times enough repetition?

If you do not like a project, dont post for the sole purpose of dissing the project. Many of the posts in this thread were offensive, with no constructive criticism at all. I honestly suggest that nobody should post in a thread, unless they have something positive to say about the thread topic. If anyone does not have anything good to post, then DO NOT POST - constructive criticism is good, and should be posted.... offensive comments are not good, and should not be posted. It's pretty simple. In my world, i pwn anyone that is rude to me :D

This thread is getting jacked ck, sorry about that ;) There was one bit of constructive criticism in there, that i think you can benefit from ck! The link was given in the worst way possible, but that is the fault of the guy that posted it - the link however, is good - here happy reading, this tutorial should make you an expert poster.

Now, back on track, cool case  i look forward to your next project, be it upgrading this case or another one :)

It is not about that. It is about CK going into a sulk every time he gets less than gushing praise for his contributions. If he posts a chaotic, repetitive and incoherent project log, then he is going to get replies that reflect this. If he wants constructive criticisms, he will have to respond to them constructively instead of dismissing them or withdrawing into a sulk every time. Else people will just get fed up.

CK, I was very interested in your wire management and all those buttons, but with no description , I dont know what im looking at and i cant refer the photos im talking about coz they all over the place, so do u think you could go into some description on whats going on with the wiring.

Also if you want, id be happy to help you out with your worklog, i can understand how difficult it must be not knowing how to type from native tongue into english....and how simpler showing 300+ photos would have been to you, but for us people that like to read can u please add some text here n there.

Your project looks promising and dont be detered by the negativity, What dosnt kill us only makes us stronger, you have the potential to make this worklog look incredible and by doing so, you would also be sticking it to those with the negativity towards you.

    Seth.

    Positive comments get positive results!!!

sorry for threadjack, but mvagusta, id like to elaborate on one of your posts

you said if you don't have anything positive to say, do n't say it. i disagree with it.

If you only have something negative to say, don't post it. Post the negative, but in a way in which he will benifit from it. "constructive criticism". This way ck will have the knowledge to make a better log in the future...
