Case Mod - In Progress Project RV3N- Just Another Problem

Here We Go!

This thing is now out of action and stripped down!
First I took out the PSU- and got myself a fan grill which will be done black.


I then removed the drive trays.

And finally:

I had a bit of trouble removing the board, the problem was my huge thermaltake frio, the cooler had stuck to my CPU!
Work starts monday!

 

Little tip for you kid, to remove the cooler run the PC for 10 minutes, it'll warm it up and soften the TIM , then it'll come away dead easy.

I'm quite ill at the moment, and for any help with this, my grandpa has recovered from his back operation but is having trouble at the moment. He was going to bring me some perspex so I could give that some dremel lovin but he can't get up

 

WE BEGIN!

Screw illness! My Grandpa and I have both made a very quick recovery. I have made mockups for the mobo tray addon for cable routing holes. After that's done I'll be painting the internals of the chassis matte black, maybe with a hint of orange peel for texture. Pictures will be up tomorrow as I am using my laptop temporarily and the USB ports are randomly failing. And the poll says that we do the PCI covers black and red... I've gone with black and red for the 7 at the back, and white for the 1 special cover in my 922. If I have time I will try and paint the backplate on my USB3 card.

Nice update bro, you dont really need a mock up for cutting or drilling you can use some painters tape, draw and cut later!

Guys, the log is stopping for 8 weeks, I'm going in for knee surgery. I've been working on RV3N, just not updating. Some soon.

I'm Back!

Like I said, I have been modding and there's going to be a lot coming to you in the next few weeks!
Firstly guys, I am still waiting for surgery, I just got a letter from the hospital and will be going in in about 2 weeks, sorry to anyone who thinks I'm now recovering. The reason I stopped the log is because I couldn't do much leading up to it. Hopefully, when the surgery's done with and I'm recovering, RV3N will be done.

With that out of the way; I have an order from aquatuning coming. Just a pin removal tool so that I can use all these:



Also, I walked into scan and picked up this nice bit of kit:
