I mentioned before (at least I think I did) that everything will be sanded down and repainted later on. I'm not in a rush to finish this project so that will be farther down the road.

    Thanks, CK.

Thanks, Bas. On a bit of a side note, the quote in your signature has always made me laugh.

No problem, Exitus. I know I'm guilty of just glancing at the pictures when breezing through most logs.

The mix of black, silver & plexi is very nice on the left side there :) Still there is something missing. Can't put my finger on it :) But I just feel it ;) Keep up the good work mate!

I have yet to finalize my paint scheme. While the case itself will be black, I'm undecided when it comes to the interior as well as the aluminum overlays. I might paint the interior black and the aluminum overlays white, thus ridding the case of silver/gray. This coloring would probably be accompanied by blue lighting.

Any suggestions or comments are welcome.

Thanks guys. I just recently returned from working out in St. Louis for 3-months. In that time my motivation for this project has waned, unfortunately. In addition to this, I feel like I was too ambitious for my first case mod. I should have started off with a few aesthetic changes rather than trying to alter the case's structure entirely. This project is now on a temporary hiatus.

However, while out in St. Louis, I worked on a design that I'm very excited for. It has room for four HDDs, a full ATX motherboard, the largest of GPUs, an optical drive, and a PSU. All of this is crammed into a SFF-sized case. Since I said I was being too ambitious with my previous mod, it may seem hypocritical to be making a scratch build. However, I'm sure that this build will require less work than Project S. Hopefully I'll be able to start work on this in the next couple months. Here are a couple shots.

I pulled the motherboard off of Jazzle's site.

awww, I'm sorry to hear that, but from what I've seen, you'll do that new case justice, I loved the style of the windows and touches you added to the S mod. Good luck!

I'm guessing you're throwing in the towel because of the bondo and I can't blame you if that's the case. Bondo is a biotch! But I like the new project as well. Maybe you could send the case out to a fellow modder who could help you out with the trouble area? I know I'd be down but I suck with bondo lol. I'm more of an aluminum/plexi guy hahah

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Teyber.

Fozzy, I actually had a lot of fun with the Bondo; it was a lot easier to work with than I had imagined. I just don't look forward to the steps that lie ahead in this project. Knowing what I have to do, I get the feeling that the case won't have a clean look when I'm finished with it. It just got to the point where I decided I'd be better off cutting my losses than sinking more money into the build and winding up with something I wasn't satisfied with.

Sorry to disappoint, CK. Like I said, I just don't have it in me at this point to carry on with Project S.

Sorry to hear that you are not going to complete the case, because that S window was one of the nicest case windows I've ever seen. How ever I think the front looks alittle bit to simple compared to the advanced structure of the S window. I think a similar holow S design on the front would fit nicely.
I totaly understand the lac of motivation if it doesent feel right. It happens to mee too often too. I can spend hours and hours on something and then i just throw it away cause it's not perfect. You could always try to solve it by taking the pieces you like and start all ower from there.
Anyway god luck no matter wich case you'll finish.

    /GNU
