:D Yeah, it's staying a Mac. No love for the Apple? :hehe:

It actually runs OS X pretty well, it's about as fast as my old K6-2 500Mhz...
The Sonnet upgrade will either be a G4-800Mhz or 1Ghz. I am going to have to mod the cooling for the Sonnet chip though. :dremel:

So, I knocked up a rough model in SketchUP (that program rocks!). I am working on adding all the details and keeping scale. I will mess with the mod ideas on the model a bit.

So, I just got done talking with Matrix Orbital. They currently don't support the Mac - BUT - They do have a USB display. They said they are going to try some things out tonight and see what they can come up with. Might be as simple as coding some controller software. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed - I really want to use a VFD on this mod.

    Props to Matrix Orbital! :D

Well, thanks to some cool Information from Zapwizard...I know how I am going to do my Power-Switch for the G3.

Touch sensative with a backlit LED glow. It's going to be bitchin.

Sadly, I'm not going to get anything done this weekend since we have to go visit relatives. :waah: I hope to have some new work up by next weekend though - with pictures of course! Hopefully the weather will cooperate. :thumb:

since you can compile linux code in mac osx it should be no problem if they have linux drivers for it.

Well, should hear back from Matrix today. Hope they have good news! :D

Also, went to my local plastics shop today to hunt the scrap pile. I was also discussing my custom window idea with them. The material I want, in the thickness I want, is VERY hard to get. So, if I wanted them to special order it I would have to take the WHOLE sheet at a cost of $650!!! :jawdrop:

So, I am working on coming up with an alternative method to acheive the look I want... :thumb:

    Yeah, $20 a Sq/Ft was a bit much. :hehe:

Nah, I might have to use 1/4" Plexi though, and get creative to do...uh...what I'm trying to...do... :worried:
