Thanks MonkeySpank. What holes were you talking about? The 120mm holes in the case were done with a 114mm hole saw. The holes in the acrylic were done with a jigsaw and mostly a dremmel the first time. My hole allignment was slightly off on two of the holes and my neighbor blessed me with the use of his company's laser and I produced the second "tray" you see below.
The Innovatek flow meter should help (a little) over Aqua-Computers model. I remember reading (somewhere) the stock compression fittings where not removable, you have proven that to be false I have no idea how to get the specs for the thing. Contact Innovatek or perhaps Scott at HighSpeed PC he is a good guy and may be able to help..Just don't say you want to use it with an Aqua-Computer Aquaero VFD...He will get upset...
So how big is the through hole on the Innovatek flowmeter? BTW, what does it say on the flowmeter for the manufacturer and model number? Might be under the label.
When "Eyeballing" the through hole it appears to be the same as A-C's unit. Hmmm... you may be on to something? As you can see below the 500 may be the magic number? I say that b/c A-C's unit uses 509 pulses per liter. I sent an email to Scott@Highspeed. If he doesn't know I will send an email directly to Innovatek. Unfortunately, there are no markings on the unit itself. The sleeved unit is Modsquad's doing. Here is where it first made its appearance many moons ago.
I don't think that the stock number has anything to do with the impulses per liter factor. The company that made the AC unit is called Digmesa. Their manufacturing plant is in Switzerland, but they do have an engineer here in this country to answer stuff. Added: So where's the pic's of the dual Aquastreams?
preview mounting Here is preliminary mounting of both pumps. I first got the idea when I saw what sc4mpi did with his pumps in his X2 project. I simply adapted that idea to the Aquabay. I am awaiting more button head screws so that I can mount the pump plate and pumps to the back of the Aquabay. The pumps are mounted to a 1cm thick piece of acrylic. I tapped the holes so that I can easily secure the pumps to the plate. I will also mount a piece of neoprene pad between the pumps and the plate in order to minimize noise from any potential vibration. Notch cut to allow the use of the Aquajet and Aquastream pump plate. Here are some pics of the pumps sitting on the Aquabay. The pumps are temporarily held in place with a piece of tape. Here is the back of the pump plate and the front of the case. The Aquero and Aquastream display plate will fill this space. Here is a wide shot with the mobo mounted.
Looks nice, but when is the heat pipes coming off and the Silber TwinPlex going on? BTW, did you order a Zern MOSFET cooler for your Asus board from Sharka? I got one on order so I hope it shows up here on their shipment coming from IT-Trade in about 10 days.
The board you see is the Deluxe version. I am using the Premium in this project. In other words, the heatpipes are gone and the silber is already installed. I'm not hip to the Zern cooler. I am curious though. I doubt I'll put another block on this board. You know I don't want it to "look busy."
The board you threw up a pic of is the "Premium A8N-SLI" and the heat pipes are still there You not to the Zern coolers? My god where have you been my dear boy? On Venus or Texas? Zern coolers are the ones for those hard to fit NB's and they also have G 1/4 spigots in them. They also make a really nice MOSFET watercooler for the A8N series boards also in G 1/4. They are made in Austria. Visit Franz's website for details. BTW, I keep telling ya that busy is only for those to lazy too design their wiring right in the first place.
Excellant project [ShoNuff], much prefer your approach with the Black case. This is brillant and I might have to steal the idea for my case
Thanks folks, I appreciate your comments. I really like the way the rad is mounted. The side panels will be vented (got a cool idea using Modders Mesh) allowing ambient/cool air to be sucked into the rad and vented into the case. This cool air should help to cool the ram, mosfets and other components. In addition to that I didn’t have to modify the exterior case. root69 I think you will like the look should you decide to use it. I have zero skills with acrylic and if I can do it I am sure you could do it better. The pics don’t really do it justice. In person the mod is very clean.
Busy...LOL! The last pic I posted of the mobo in the case is of the Deluxe version. Note the SLI card selector that is not present on the Premium version. Well, I reserve the right to exercise my rights as your friend to tell you that your case looks busy if in fact it turns out that way. I just can't see a case with three loops, two water cooled video cards, NB and CPU, three hard drives AND a mosfet cooler not looking busy.
